I like fruit!
Mommy was eating fruit cocktail-of course I begged and begged for some and she put a piece of peach on the floor and said, "ok Spike, I know you won't eat it though!" Well, I showed her, I ate it and asked for more. So she gave me a few more peaches and some pears.
Later that week, she was eating peaches out of the can. She left the room and the fruit and I made my move! When she came back I had my face in the can licking that sweet fruit syrup! Yummy!
She calls me her garbage disposal because I will eat anything! I have an iron stomach and daredevil taste buds! Stuff that my siblings won't touch, I will scarf down! I am the master taste tester in my house and I love my job :)

Hooray! I am officially a MAN today!
Of course I will continue to run around and act like a kitten, but now
Mommy can't call me a baby anymore! I am a MAN today!
I am ONE which makes me a "grown up".
So now I can do whatever I want, and what I want to do right now is take a nap! Then, later, I will eat, then play, then nap, then eat, then play, then nap some more! Woo Hoo! Birthdays are Pawsome!!!!

I was Tagged by Itty Bitty (672507) the sister of my sweetie, Puff.
Itty Bitty wants me to tell 7 things about myself-so here I go!
1. I am all black except for a small white spot on my throat and a bigger one on my right side near my armpit!
2. I LOVE to eat and will try anything once!
3. I like to hog toys! If I see one of my brothers playing with a toy, I will try to take it from him!
4. I like wrestling with Bernie because I am bigger than he is and tougher! :)
5. I like to sleep on top of Mommy and Daddy's dresser.
6. I have a heart murmur, but that doesn't stop me from running around and acting a fool!
7. I like Puff! I think she is the cutest girl on Catster! And I am taking her to a Valentine's Dance!!!!!!!
Thanks Itty Bitty, my brothers know a cute girl when they see her and they said they don't understand why you are still single. They said if they didn't already have girls, you would be in trouble! MOL!

My first New Years Eve! I thought I would celebrate by writing my first ever New Years Resolution list!
1. I am going to beg for as much food off of Mommy's plate as I can!
2. I am going to have lots of fun!
3. I am going to be healthy and get really big!
4. I am going to get to know Puff better and take her to a Valentines dance!
5. I am going to cut back on the 'nip-WAIT! What am I saying? Scratch that!
5. I am going to NOT cut back on the 'nip!

I spotted Mommy eating something and as usual, I had to go beg for a taste.
She told me it was Strawberry Cheesecake and Cool Whip. She put some Cool Whip on my nose then laughed when I couldn't reach to get it off.
Then, when she had her fill, she put the plate down for me! It had some Cheesecake on it, with some Strawberries and more Cool Whip!
I sniffed everything first, then I started to eat the Strawberries! They were good!
Freddie came up beside me and licked up the Cool Whip, but those Strawberries were mine!
Mommy said I was a weird cat. I will eat anything!

We went to the vet today. :(
Mommy put me in the carrier with Oliver and then sat us in the backseat with Freddie and Bernie.
I cried and cried! "Mommy! Let me out! Let me out!"
I scratched and scratched at the door and finally it came open! I was free!
Well almost-Mommy had set our carriers face to face and there wasn't much room for my door to open, I tried though!
As soon as she heard the door open she looked and saw me trying to get out. She reached behind her and grabbed the door. I scratched at her fingers but she wouldn't let go!
She said something about making her crash the car...that she had to find a place to park... and what was I doing...blah blah blah! I was too busy trying to get out to listen. :)
Suddenly we stopped and Mommy leaped out of the car and opened up the back seat! She tipped our carrier up so I tumbled to the back and fell on top of Oliver. She closed the latch and checked it to make sure it was tight-and boy was she MAD!
I tried to talk to her once we got going, but she told me to hush! The nerve! I tried to scratch at the door again, but she reached back and hit the top of the carrier with her hand and told me to stop it-so I did :(
When we got to the vets Oliver was totally stressed out from my antics so when we left Mommy made me ride home with Freddie. When we got home Freddie was hissing at me....aw Freddie! What did I do?!?!?!?!

It is official! I am now a Warrior!
My Warrior name is Brightgaze, because I have big eyes that shine and see everything!
I haven't had my naming ceremony yet, but I know it will be soon!

I now have a furever home! I am so happy! I was adopted from the Cleveland APL on Saturday, September 6.
I was in the right place at the right time! I was in a playroom, chilling out and sitting in the window when my new Mommy came in to check out the kitties in the playroom.
She saw me sitting in the window and said I reminded her of Freddie and Oliver since they like window sitting too. She tried to hold me but I didn't like that (just like Freddie and Oliver)! I even scratched her *blush*
She put me down and started to check out some other kitties. I hopped down from the window and started following her around.
She petted me some more and then left the room. I started to play and act crazy (had to show her how cute I was and make her forget I scratched her!)
She checked out more kitties but came back to the playroom and checked out my card.
She was excited to find out I was a girl named Annabelle. She decided to take me home that day! A volunteer gave her a big hug-they really liked me there!
Mommy showed the girl who she wanted and I was put in a carrier and taken to my new home!
The next day, after I came out of hiding, Mommy discovered I was a BOY!
She packed me up and took me back to the APL-Oh NO! I didn't want to go back! I cried and cried in the car!
When we got to the APL, Mommy told them she wanted to find out who I really was! She said she was taking me home no matter what, but she wanted to know my name and medical history!
The APL really didn't seem to know who I was, but based on info and pictures, they deducted that I was a boy named Coke!
Mommy took me back home and named me Spike! Now I have a big house to run around in, lots of windows to look out of, lots of toys to play with and 3 brothers!
I am a lucky kitty who was in the right place at the right time!
