Arrival Story: My Humans were looking for a friend for their new Mini Schnauzer pal Lona, and at the same time trying to close the gap on having left 2 feline family members with their friend and old roommate back in Portland, when they moved across the country, to here, Buffalo, NY. They found me at the SPCA, where I had recently been neutered and was fighting off the ear mites. My previous people had never taken me to the vet, EVER, so I was in kinda rough shape when I first arrived. I was lookin' pretty spiffy on that fateful day that Gregg and Lori walked in, admiring my dashing shades of Orange-ness and requesting some petting time in a room instead of just looking at me through a cage. I gave them the love and then I went to stretch out and lounge on the floor and play with a jingle ball. It was awesome. And then I heard them talking...and, come to find out - I WAS IN! They got all the things in order, put me in a cardboard box with holes, and we were OUT!
We all had a very rough first day. I tried to hide my nervousness by acting cool and confidant, but I ended up snapping and biting at my Mom and Lona...and Dad. It was so bad they questioned whether it was a good idea that I stay...
I thought things through overnight, and woke up feeling like a new feline, ready to embrace my new family and home. :)
I got to playing with Lona first thing in the morning, and worked on Mom through the whole day (she even called Dad to tell him how AMAZING I was being), and that was that. Mom declared me a lifer, for better or worse.

Bio: UPDATE: 3/o9 I tested positive for FIV, but on the positive side, you'd never guess! I'm in great health currently and the worst of it is that I occasionally have pretty violent sneezing fits.
