Likes:
Being stroked and cuddled, being talked too, being given attention.

Pet-Peeves:
None really, Poppy is the most low maintenance cat ever and is happy as long as you give her food and affection.

Favorite Toy:
Humans - "as flies to wanton boys are we to Popeye, she kills us for her sport." (Shakespeare knew Popeye, apparently...) - she likes to bat us as we walk by.

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the dresser in the bedroom, on the woollen blankie I knitted on the back of the sofa, on the second step of the flight of stairs, on top of the computer monitor (note to self: get flat-screen monitor to thwart Popeye, heehee).

Favorite Food:
We give her tuna and chicken as a special treat when Rappy and Thievus aren't around, because she's so skinny.

Skills:
Sitting on ledges and sticking her paw out to catch you as you walk past. She also likes to come up behind you when you're on the computer and tap you on the elbow. Looking demure even when you put foam rings on her head and laugh (as you can see).

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
She is a kitten of Nunsey's from the first litter, and is the sister of Lizzie. She was the runt of the litter, and nearly died at 8 weeks old when she was too small to be able to cope with the flea treatment she had been given. She pulled through, and became my favourite out of the kittens . I named her Popeye because when she was tiny she had a cold and one of her eyes opened well before the other.

Bio:
Popeye is just too sweet for words, but while she was a kitten she was a holy terror! Whenever we would try to catch her for any reason, she was the fastest cat on 4 legs, and was able to squeeze herself into miniscule spaces - we would literally spend hours chasing her around. Her newest way to torture us is to get up into our ceiling behind the ceiling tiles. We live in a basement apartment, and are terrified she's going to find a way up through the landlady's floor when she does this. Our landlady's great, and likes the cats - but I don't think she'd appreciate one popping up through her floor one day! She likes to be affectionate, but if at any point you get tired of her clinginess and try to put her down or stop her climbing up, then she can give the tiniest wee plaintive mew and make you feel really guilty. Popsy looks so much like her mother - it's hard now that Nunsey's gone because I still keep seeing her in Popeye. We used to get them mixed up all the time, when we weren't looking closely.
