Well we think there pay be some progress with our new kitty Jo-Jo. She still hangs out in her room most of the time. We know she loves Dad since she purrs when he pets her. But she's still not used to us. I've tried often to be friends and get close to her but Jo-Jo just goes into a fury and howls at me. I just want to play! Dad said I should be patient because Jo-Jo doesn't know how to play with other cats.
Anyway Dad got a surprise day off for a tragic reason. Someone was hit by a freight train right before his passenger train arrived so all the trains got backed up. Thank catness he didn't see it happen. It was too humid to wait so he came home. I got to sit him a bit and we're vegging out. Dad is going to bring Jo-Jo downstairs with us later because it's cooler here.
I really wish Jo-Jo would play with me. How can I convince her that it's OK?

Maybe if your Dad played with all of you using one of those toys that is a string on a stick. You could each take turns, and Jo-Jo could see "play" in action. Then maybe she wouldn't be so afraid to play with you!
oh it is tough to have a new kitty in the hosue that does not understand other kitties in the house are nice friendly kitties.
Treat together for all of us in one room always helped us get along and playtime together and food time together! If he has not already your dad might want to swap rooms and let yall hang out in JOJO's room while JoJO is free to check out the house.
We saw that sad news on WGN - awful.
I bet before you know it JoJo will be your pal. Maybe try those calming treats that we use for Felix.
