indoors and outdoors Arrival Story: After awhile we noticed that Regis was lonely since our older cat did not have any interest in Regis. I decided to go adopt another kitten. I went to the animal shelter and was looking for a grey kitten but the moment Arnie saw me he started screaming and reaching his little paw out of the cage at me. The lady working at the shelter told me Arnie was a girl...I didn't even bother to look, I took her word for it. We named "her" Abby til we found she was a boy! I did a good job picking a buddy for Regis as they are best buds. Bio: Poor Arnie had to have part of his tail amputated. We aren't sure what happened to him. We came home one night and he was lying on the couch and I noticed his tail had been stripped of its fur and skin...yikes! The vet amputated his tail and he was such a grump after that! We called him Grumpy Stumpy for awhile but now he isn't so grumpy. He is used to his new tail and not as embarrassed about it!
DANG IT! Poor Arnie got into more trouble and his ear got torn up and his toes got broke. The vet had to amputate some of his toes. Actually he basically just got declawed on some of his toes but most people think that is not a big deal. Declawing IS a big deal and it IS amputation. So I always make sure to explain it that way because when people hear he had toes amputated they are like "Oh ouch!" and then they are shocked. But if you tell people he had to have a few toes declawed, they don't even flinch. :(
ANYWAY - his right side of his face is now paralyzed and he is sort of out of it. Poor guy. He spends most of his time indoors now, which is a relief! Lives Remaining: 8 of 9 I've Been On Catster Since:
