Arrival Story:
Shadow was in a no-kill shelter, having been saved from the city pound. We were looking for another cat having just lost one to Rainbow Bridge. Shadow reached for me as if asking me to take him home--and I did!
Bio:
Shadow has always been in great demand in late October--being all black! The perfect Halloween Cat! Poor Shadow has to put up with a Beagle and three Basset Hounds!! But Shadow thinks he is part Basset, hence the nickname "Shadow Casset." He is probably the most tolerant, calm, unruffled kitty any hounds ever knew! He puts up with it all--the pestering to run so he can be chased, the slobbery baths, anything the hounds can think of to annoy him! He will curl up and sleep next to a hound after the hound has fallen asleep. That's how we know he really likes his hound brother and sisters! Our Shadow Casset has never been known to hiss, spit, swat, scratch or in any way show any normal fear or anger toward any hound! He does help guard his property from any other cat, though.

I LOVE it when Daddy sits up to the counter in my kitchen. I sit as close to him as I can get, and give him "The Look" that my canine brudder and sisters taught me. It works!! He thinks I don't know where he keeps treats for me, but I do! Heh heh! All I have to do is stare at the top of the fridge, and I get a treat from there!!
