Arrival Story:
Leila joined the family on a whim, like most of our other pets. My mom and I were up at Petsmart and they had cat adoptions going on. I had always said I was fine with just one cat, but suddenly I desperately needed to get my cat, Magic, a new friend. We saw the cutest little calico kitten, and I fell in love. Awhile ago I had a calico cat that died from complications of Feline Leukemia at only 1 year old. Luckily, my mom loved that cat, so she was already partial to calicos. When we found out Leila was a female, it was decided she'd be coming home with us!

Bio:
Leila was rescued from a home where a woman had over 40 cats! They couldn't rescue all of them, but Leila was one of the lucky ones. Things were a little rough when Leila first made it here. We discovered she had ear mites, and then she developed upper respiratory infection, which she then passed along to her sister, Magic. She also decided to show mommy she was mad by peeing on her bed, one time with mommy in it! She had to take some kitty "anti-depressants" for a couple months, and luckily, she's found other ways to express her unhappiness. Mostly in the form of meowing loudly nonstop, she's a very vocal kitty and always wants to get her way!
