Arrival Story:
At a Blue Lake City Council mtg. in Nov of 1996 there was this stray little brown kitten looking for love. Bored by the mtg my husband went out to pet him. Roscoe was in horrible shape, so we brought him home. A visit to the vet showed that he was full grown (just a runt) with rotting teeth, already neutered, and had three kinds of parasites. After taking all his meds and eating good food, his fur turned black and puffy and he was super aggressive. The only clues we have to his previous life are his rotten teeth, his sense of entitlement to people food, and his belief that all car rides should include him. He gave up the car thing, but after nearly 10 years in the house he still thinks people food is for him.

Bio:
After years of being super aggressive and us talking to the vet about meds for his behavior (he beat the other cats, attacked dogs and children, etc.) We brought home a kitten in 2000, and surprisingly Roscoe took great care of the baby kitty. Roscoe cleaned him and watched him all of the time, played with him, etc. His aggression stopped and to this day he and his kitten buddy Monroe are best friends. They wrestle and chase each other around like littermates. In 2005 we got him a new kitten Pablo and he again was the parent.
