Arrival Story:
Nickel showed up in our backyard one summer day with his 2 baby siblings. My husband said NO MORE CATS. We ended up feeding them when Mittens escaped and we put out a 'kitty buffet' to attract her back. Just like last year, it started to get cold and Nickel wanted to come in. My husband resisted until we came home one evening and found him sitting in my daughter's lap. We trapped him and took him to the vet, all the while thinking he was girl cat. He was a boy, so Nikki became Pumpernickel. He is a total love bug and after only a month as a house cat, he is settled in and part of the family. His brother and sister got a 'job' as barn cats on a local farm.
