Arrival Story:
Nothing unusual. I wanted to replace a beloved bi-color Ragdoll that lived to the age of twenty, and so I did an online search for a Ragdoll kitten. I found a breeder about 35 miles away, fell in love with her kitten picture, and bought her almost immediately.

Bio:
As for her door-jamb jumping, which I've mentioned because I've never had a cat or known of one that did this as a fun activity, I now have four doorways that show the results of this antic: lines of vertical scratches running down the jambs. I thought she would outgrow this habit once she got older, but at age two now she still quite hasn't. I've resorted to taping plastic bags (a very weird bit of household decor) to the jambs, but it hasn't much stopped her. I do wish, though, that I could get a picture of her mid-jamb, but she's too fast, taking only a couple of seconds to jump and slide down before she runs off, seemimg to know she's going to get yelled at. Her other game is jumping up on a table or countertop (when I'm not around or not looking) and knocking off whatever she can move, such as bowls, decorative ash trays (I don't smoke), eyeglasses (in or out of their cases), wallets, a variety of nicknacks, and the most distressing, a small glass fish bowl with a betta fish in it! (Fortunately I was home at the time, heard the bowl smash to pieces, saw her take off as if she were shot out of a cannon, but was able to rescue the betta, who had a bruised eye, wouldn't eat for several days, but recovered fully eventually.)
