Arrival Story:
In 1995 I was working at a local City Hall as a security guard, and the Animal Warden brought in a young kitten to take to the pound. He wouldn't let me keep her although she was under 8 weeks so the county shelter destroyed her. The next day I was SO angry, the guy gave me the number of a vet who did rescues and adoptions. I called her, and she had a litter of four, two of which had been adopted. I went down and selected Scully and took her home that very day! I felt very deeply that if I couldn't save the kitten from work the night before, I should adopt another animal immediately!

Bio:
Scully was one of a litter of four, she had one sister and two brothers. Scully is a gray tabby with brown undertones, as was one of her brothers; the other siblings were gray tabbies with silver undertones. One of her siblings was a biter, and so Scully (and her other two sibs!) had very short stubby whiskers when I got her since her sib had chewed them down. Fortunately, they grew back quickly!

In Memorium:
In July of 2007, Scully became ill - listless, moving slowly, loss of appetite. Several vet visits and treatment for pain made her feel better but did not stop the illness. On August 29, with testing and advice from her vet, I had her euthanized due to complete kidney failure. She was a wonderful pet and companion for 12 years. Thank you, Scully!
