Tippy was a true gentleman. If you were down He was there to console, listen, love you. Tippy was at the very top of the cat hierarchy not only because He was one of the oldest, but because the other cats respected & adored Tippy. Tippy was also a bit of a flirt, always leaving one wanting more of his back rubs;) He was a perfect cat. Monday Tippy was suddenly ill with flu-like symptoms. Antibiotics were given as directed, but he didn't improve. Tippy spent the next Monday night in the vet hospital hooked up to an IV & had tests ran. Test results showed Tippy had diabetes for some time that led to liver & kidney damage. Essentially, Tippy couldn't fight off the virus as his major organs were rapidly deteriorating. Tippy was brought home to familiar surroundings to relax for 2 hours. Tippy lay in my lap as the vet gave him the medicine to stop his pain. I stroked his fur, talked of our love and he peacefully went over Rainbow Bridge where he awaits our reunion. My voice the last he heard, my touch the last he felt. We lost a true gentleman, friend, companion and dearly loved family member on this day. My heart is crushed, my eyes streaming tears. I LOVE YOU, I MISS YOU!
