Please purr for Queensland and New South Wales

I haven't pawed a diary entry lately but I'm adding my voice to my fellow Aussies to rally as much purring and prayers for the people and animals of Queensland and New South Wales as we can muster.
The flood situation is dire and worsening. Lives have been lost and people are unaccounted for. 75% of the state of Queensland, the second largest state in Australia, has been declared a disaster area, including the capital Brisbane. Parts of Brisbane have been evacuated and the power to 100,000 homes will be cut off as a safety measure.
Initially it was stated that pets could not be taken to the evacuation area at the Brisbane Showgrounds, then this was reversed as the authorities realised that people were reluctant to leave without their pets - good decision! *claps paws*
Floods are expected to reach their peak in Brisbane on Thursday.
Please join me in purring and praying for all the communities across Queensland and New South Wales affected by this terrible disaster.

Thank you for joining our purrs - the floodwater in Brisbane is expected to hit its peak at about 11am Wednesday Catster time, so we're keeping those purrboxes cranked up.

Did you know they are about to experience a wicked storm? This is what a yahoo website said

A massive cyclone roaring towards Australia has strengthened to the most dangerous threat level, as officials are warning it could be the strongest storm in generations.

This is today so they are being hit again :(

It is expected to hit in about 4 hours. We're praying and purring like mad, because it's going to be bad.
