Arrival Story:
I just moved into an new apt and we already had Hoosier. This new place I was allowed to have more pets. We started thinking about another cat- not to serious though. So we had been volunteering a local zoo near by. They always have people dropping of animals there- one being a pregnant mother cat. Shortly there she gave birth she was killed by a hunter. So they bottle raised these 3 black kittens. When we first met Eve she was already a couple months old. I was working away cleaning cages and such but this one cat (Eve) would not leave me alone. And every time I would sit down she would jump on my lap, started kneading and talking to me. Oh I loved it - I would even set her down on the ground and "ignore" her...and she would jump right back up on my lap. The zoo already had named her Eve. Right before we left I commented on how a great cat she was - the lady of the zoo came out and said "you want her??" I told her I didn't know and would have to think about it. We left, and I could not stop thinking of her. A couple days later, Seth went back out there and got her for me. Through it all, all I could think about was how she had picked me. :-)
