Arrival Story: Freeway is the name given to me because that is where I was found. I was only about 5 weeks old, barely old enough to see the world, but not old enough to be alone. I was hiding under a piece of garbage on the side of an off ramp. I was hungry, stinky and scared. There was a big building next to the freeway and I could see people come and go. But I was afraid, and unsure about everything going on around me. I didn't know how to find my mom and the big cars going by were scarey. Then I saw this nice lady walking to her car. She was parked real close to where I was. I figured this was my one and only chance to get away from all this big scarey stuff. So I let out a meow. She didn't hear me at first so I did it again. That time she heard me. She walked over to the fence and looked. Then she saw me hiding under a piece off paper. She walked around the big fence between us and came up to me. My heart was racing, she seemed so nice. Then she picked me up. I was scared, what about my family, I hissed, clawed and cried. She did not let go. She put me in her car and took me home. She gave me a nice warm bath and some yummy milk. She had other cats and some puppies. We all got along right from the start. I knew this was the place for me. My new mom always telling me that you can take the cat out of the wild but you can't take the wild out of the cat. And I live up to that. I make sure everyday is a new adventure for me and the family.
