Oliver caught a mouse!

It's that time of year in southern Indiana once again! When the corn is harvested, the mice scurry to the nearest home. So of course that means that our house has a couple families of mice now.
If you can't tell by the pictures, Oliver is a laid back fluffy ball of cuddles. He's the last cat I would picture as being a hunter.
Imagian my surprise at finding a dead mouse in front of my bedroom door and a very proud cat looking up at me. He of course got a lot of praise and hugs for doing such a good job, "not bringing me a half alive mouse."
I guess it goes to show that the heart of the lion can still beat even in the cuddliest of breeds.

My mom made a zombie profile on Myspace and made me her official zombie sidekick... humans are so strange...

I just noticed that my Catster plus expired. Mom has sent in a check to renew it for a year. yay!

I'm back :3

Hey everyone i've been away from Catster for awhile. Mom has been having health problems and didn't really feel like using the computer much.

Here's some things that happened to me while I was away.

1. I celebrated my 4th birthday! I got a small cat tree and treats. grandpa is working on making me a big tree.

2. I've started playing fetch with my toys and tug of war. Mom sometimes wonders if i'm part dog.

3. I've got fleas currently so mom's going to go to the vet and get me some medicine as soon as her check comes.

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa Claws came last night and left me presents. I got a play wand with a long string on it and when mommy moves it, it sounds like a bird! I also got some Pounce treats, you can't trick me Santa...you only got me that so mom can force me to take my medicine blah.
One of my presents is late, I guess Santa forgot it at the North Pole? Anyway he's working with a place called Walmart and mommy said that this present will come in the mail. *tilts head*
It's a elevated feeding area and it has a place underneath to put things like my bag of food and grooming stuffs. This way mom dosent have to use moldy boxes anymore.

Oliver and Christmas Trees

I swear Ollie is the first kitty i've ever had that didn't try to knock down the Christmas tree.
This is Olivers 2nd Christmas with us, we had a little lightly decorated tree last year because my family thought he would attack any tree we had, so if he knocked that one down it would be fine.He never tried to touch it he was just amazed at the Christmas lights.
This year we took a gamble and got a full size tree and fully decorated it. Oliver loves this tree! He lays under it on his tummy or back and looks at the lights, we have to keep it on at night so he can sleep under it. If we turn off the lights he meows until we turn them back on.
I love you Ollie, your one of a kind.

Slacking

Sorry about slacking off on Oliver's new Christmas layout. Oliver had some more minor health problems and I wasn't on the computer much. But now I can finish his page since Oliver is feeling better again.

I've accepted now that Oliver will always have bouts of sickness and i'm ok with that. If i'm not online for awhile, it's probably because of that. Now to get to work :).

Arrrgh...Children

I may be feeling better physically but mentally I think i'm about to crash.
My mom's neice has been over here for the past 3 days visting. No matter how many times I whack this kid in the head with my paws of doom, she just keeps trying to grab my tail, steal my toys or worst of all take over my favorite sleeping spots!
You should know by now mom that you can't stop the fights and make us friends!

Back from the vet.

Back from the vet. He took x-rays and found out that the cause of Oliver's problems is a blockage type area in his upper intestine. The doctor told us that it was something Oliver was born with. Oliver was put on a special diet, it's Purina Veterinary Diets Gastroenteric. He's also on an Antacid.
Oliver took his first test run of the food, he loves it and no vomiting. I hope this will make Ollie feel better...
