Skills: Loves to flip flop when sleeping in bed, yawns right before eating
Arrival Story: Gleek was my Mom's cat. He was a stray in her neighborhood that she began feeding on the front porch. He gradually trusted her enough to come into the house. When she passed away, we decided to make him part of our family.
Bio: Gleek is named after a nickname my Dad used for his last name. Mom called the cat Kitty, but I wanted to give him a unique name! Since we don't know Gleek's real birthday, I thought it would be nice to honor her by giving him her birthday.

220 other cats are celebrating with me today as we eat cake and have a birthday party! I don't know how many of them are nine, but Mawmee told me nine is fine when she gave me a birthday kiss!
I want to thank my pals for all the birthday wishes! We do check in to Catster every day, but we haven't been writing in our diaries as much as we used to.
Dang, I hope all my friends were safe last night from the big storms and tornadoes. We don't have tornadoes in Arizona, and it is still really nice here during the day. At night, it is getting cooler, so all of us are heading for the big bed to get warmth from the humans. Mawmee says she gives up her leg space when winter comes because I like to be right up against her legs!
I've also decided that when you're nine years old, you can be picky about eating. Daddy was our cat sitter while Mawmee was gone for a whole week. He decided that a better schedule was to feed us more times during the day and smaller amounts each time. The schedule is mainly for me because I was leaving too much food in my bowl when we got fed three times a day.
So, he made the executive decision to feed us five times a day! Sounds good to me! Overall, we get the same amount of food, but it is spread out in smaller increments. I clean my bowl almost every time! Sometimes I like freeze dried chicken sprinkled on top of the Fancy Feast, and sometimes, I don't. It's always a mystery as to what I'm going to like at each meal.
I think cats should keep our humans guessing, don't you? Celebrate today with an extra meal in honor of my birthday!
Wowza, do you realize I haven't been a diary pick since 2010? I wonder where the Diary Gal has been all that time - MOL!
I'm glad she picked me today, and I want to thank my pals for helping me celebrate the honor.
Daddy is in charge of us for the next few days cause Mawmee is going back to Kentucky for a wedding. We're sure glad we don't have to go back to Kentucky for the wedding. I have a lot of bunny watching to do. Every morning after breakfast, I get on the back of the chair in the family room for rabbit patrol!
My vet lady called me today to see how my toofies were doing. I told her that I didn't get a gazillion dollars from the toof fairy like I was hoping!
She told me that the blood she stole from me last week got checked to make sure I'm not taking too much of my seizure medicine. Everything came back in the normal range, so I can keep taking the dosages of my three medicines.
Thanks again for all the purrs during my toofie cleaning. I'm back to eating good and doing my morning bunny patrol from the back of the big chair!
