Arrival Story:
I do volunteer work at the animal shelter, and Oscar and several other kittens were in cages in the front lobby. During downtime, I'd be sitting in the lobby, watching the kittens, and Oscar's antics won me over -- he was mesmerized and amused by everything, from the Do Not Touch sign on his cage (which had to be relocated, because he just couldn't leave it alone -- he jumped up to the top bars and was dangling off trying to bite it!) to the leash hanging down. The fact that he constantly had litter stuck in his long fur (and that he never cared enough to ever groom himself and make him presentable!) just added to his cuteness. So I went home one day, and told my Mother about him, purely because he was adorable. She became interested, as he reminded her of Desi, a cat we'd had to euthanize from FIP. So a few days later, she came to the shelter to check him out, and she, too, was won over by him. And thus, we adopted him.

Bio:
Oscar is very affectionate.. he LOVES to be held, and insists on sleeping right up below our chins. While Maxwell didn't like him in the beginning, he's warmed up to him, and they'll lay together and Max will lick Oscar as he sleeps. They also love to play with each other, although Maxwell just looks like the tolerating older brother most of the time -- he just lets Oscar tackle him and nibble his face. Oscar isn't very fond of Sampson - our dog - but he tolerates him. He primarily just likes to hit Sampson's face when he comes near him (which Sampson loves.. he thinks it's a great game). Oh, yes -- he also loves FOOD. It doesn't matter what it is, if it's on a plate or in a bowl, he wants it, and persists until he gets it!
