Chico Lux, Chico Pico, Freak
Lounging, chasing Little and Bwana, catching cardinals (I know he's the culprit!)
He's too foot-loose and fancy free to have any pet peeves.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Next to the wall under the sideboard. I used to think it was the radiator (which was under the sideboard) and/or the A/C (which was behind the sideboard), but then I moved the sideboard and he still stretched out under it.
I've watched him move Bwana's stool out from under the sideboard with his paws when it was in his spot.
indoors and outdoors
A neighbor boy found Chico on New Years Day in 2003 and knocked on our door to ask if he was ours. When I said that no, he wasn't, he asked if we wanted him. Well, being the sucker I am, I thought that I could probably find him a good home. He was so cute and cuddly, after all. My best friend agreed to try him out and, if he got along with her pitbull, she'd keep him. Well, Manny loved him and, even though he had to constantly be reminded to not play so rough, they got along famously. Now, Chico is Manny's kitty and Manny never lets him forget it for a moment!
Chico is an odd cat. First off, his front legs are too short for his body so he walks kind of like he's bent over. Secondly, he has none of the grace of a cat. He doesn't fall like a cat (and certainly doesn't land like one!), he's very clumsy and doesn't groom himself. He sits underneath the big pine in the back yard, staring into space for hours on end (but then pounces like a stealth when a cardinal flies by!). He loves to torment Little and, lately, Bwana (whom I know has secret, sinister plans for him). He's not much of a lover but he'll lie like a rag doll in your arms when you pick him up. He's very handsome and highly entertaining, but I personally believe that he's slightly vacuous. Manny loves him, though.
