Please throw something so I can fetch it, and don't make it too easy. Try shooting a rubber band behind the books on the third shelf of the bookcase. Now, that is worth my time.

The Hardest Day

Gretchen had a trip to the vet when we noticed she started losing weight about midway through her 10th year of greatness on this planet. On October 27, 2010, she was diagnosed with a form of cancer rare for cats, called a hemangiosarcoma. Against Gretchen's firm advice, we insisted on confirming this with an ultrasound on November 1. Dr. Sunbury, her wonderful vet, has let us know we are on "bonus time" with her.

We are savoring every day with our awesome baby, each one of which is an amazing gift from the universe.

Best girl ever, we will love you to the moon for every moment you can stay. We're trying so hard not to be sad while you're here. Thank you for the burst of joy and gladness and gratitude I get every morning and evening you're there to greet us.
