I have been waiting for my love, Taz, to join me in Heaven. I wanted him to stay with his family for as long as possible, but I am SO overjoyed to finally be with him!

Today there is heartbreak in Catsterland as our beloved Hazel Lucy will fly to Heaven today.
But here in Heaven, there is a celebration the likes of which I have never seen. Every cat wants to meet the beautiful, generous and sweet Hazel Lucy, including me! I will probably just wait my turn and let her get settled with Buddie. After all, we have eternity with her now.
PLEASE, PLEASE provide all the support and comfort you can for her Mommy. HL and her mom have ALWAYS been there for each of us. One of her tranquility blankets comforted me as I made my own journey. HL's mom needs us now.

Last night I had to help out my furry brother, Cas. See, Cas is obsessed with going outside. He is not allowed outside anymore. He is in an indoor kitty because he has no claws, my family lives on a busy road, there are coyotes, etc. He does not understand the rules at our house yet.
Usually Cas gets out and then either or Mommy or Daddy just scoops him back up and brings him inside. But lately, Cas has been really fighting this and running further away faster instead of just moseying around.
This morning at around 4AM, Daddy woke Mommy up to tell her Cas was gone. He had been missing for over two hours. (He snuck out when Daddy opened the door and ran away very fast before Daddy could get him.) Mommy was so upset. She jumped up and put some socks and shoes on and got her coat. Daddy insisted he already looked everywhere and that it was no use to keep looking. He said Cas will come home.
But they kept looking, and it was Daddy who found Cas, laying on top of the big rock in Mommy's flower garden. Daddy was right! He did not go far. But he still did not want to go inside, and he was scared for some reason.
But finally, they got him herded back into the house. Did I mention it was FREEZING out?
All's well that ends well, I guess, but I am going to need some help figuring out how to make Cas stop darting out when the door opens. As it is, Mommy has to sneak to work out another door, which has two doors of protection, but then it's hard to get to the car. Another trick when they see Cas near the door is they ring the doorbell before opening the door to get back in. Cas is afraid of the bell and will run back inside.
Why is Cas so unhappy being indoors only? He has a great porch that is outside (but screened in) that he can go on anytime he wants.
Thanks to all my angel pals to helped me get this big fur-butt home where he belongs!

Vote for Lilith!
My very own sister on Earth is competing in the World's Coolest contest! Too bad I never got to meet her when I lived with Mommy and Daddy, because she seems super-fun.
Please give her some votes!

Dear Friends,
I have three close friends that are in desperate need of purrs. I am doing the best I can to watch over them from Heaven, but they really need some love from all of us! No matter how you might feel about the recent changes on Catster, please do not lose sight of the reason Catster is so special and how much it has brought to our lives. WE are the ones who make this place special for one another. We made this into a powerful and effective place where miracles can and do happen. Friends, that is the one thing that has not changed.
Also, do not forget that these three cats have been a great source of love and comfort for so many kitties in need. Let's be there for them now!
The kitties needing purrs are:
Handsome hunk of mancat, Taz, who is having surgery tomorrow at age 21. He is the love of my life, and I am very worried about him. He is very brave!

Also, our dear friend, Sugar, needs urgent purrs as well. She has a UTO, or unidentified tummy object! There is something in her tummy, and we purring it's not the mean ol' cancer. Sugar is in Calvin's kitty family, and she is even sweeter than her name suggests!

Last, but by no means least, is our pal James Tailer. He just found out he has The Cancer:

Please take the time to offer these families your love and support. Just send them a pmail or a diary comment to let them know you care; I know they would appreciate it very much. I have to go round up all the angels and get them ready to sprinkle a ton of healing on our friends!
Love to all of Catsterland,

Well, Mommy's porch idea paid off big-time. Instead of leaving just the outer door to the porch open, she left the door to the living room open a little bit. She told Daddy to just sit on the couch and watch tv and let Gilmore figure things out. Then a little orange head appeared in the living room door opening, and in walked Mr. Gilmore as Mommy held her breath. Mommy ran to close the other entries she left open for him right away and got them closed in time. See, that living room door is the only one Gilmore knows, so Mommy thought if he could find that door he would come home, and he sure did!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your support and encouragement during this ordeal. I guess the near $300 in yard signs is wasted, but having Gilmore home is the best thing ever. Mommy cried and cried and he got all kinds of pets! He went right for the food bowl too.
The other cats are happy to be out of jail too.
Love to all of Catsterland!

A neighbor suggested loading the traps with tuna and tuna juice instead of canned cat food, so Mommy ran out to the store to get some. It sure does smell more than the cat food. She tested the new bait out on Cas, a cat who has not been starving for two nights, and he seemed desperate to get at it, so hopefully Gilmore will be too.
Gilmore, follow your tummy!
It's so hard for Mommy to know where to be to find Gil. She worries that if she is in the yard he will see her and run off again, but if she's not out there she won't see him if he does come. Mommy is going to serve tuna on the screen porch too after she figures out how to secure the rest of the cats. Maybe Gilmore will remember his porch and come in.
Please keep thinking about him and sending your ideas and suggestions.
Mommy ordered huge metal yard signs but they won't be here for a couple of days. She rehung the posters outside because the writing on the flyers was too small. Every neighbor got a flyer and a note asking them to look.
Darkness is here, and the hope that Gilmore will feel safe or hungry enough to come out.

Mommy had two more ideas to try to find Gil.
One is to leave the door to the screen porch open tonight. That is the only "outside" Gilmore knows, and he might recognize the door from the porch to the living room because he has used it many times, whereas other doors might elude and confuse him. (That said, he's never used the outer door of the porch and might not know to use that either.) Mommy will have to be extra careful not to let the other cats out there while the porch door is open.
While hanging up signs, Mommy realized they were too hard to read from the road. There is a large, four way intersection near our house. Mommy is thinking about buying those large yard signs like they have for open houses, etc. We will probably get four plus one for our yard because we are on a corner.
Mommy does have Gilmore's blankie and bed outside, but her friend Janet suggested putting the blankie in a cat crate and then putting that out. We might try that.
Remember when Gilmore first moved from the basement to the rest of the house? He hid under the couch for days and only came out if no one was around. He might doing that now, only not under the couch, obviously.
The landscapers will be here tomorrow and that will cause him to stay out of the yard. Sigh. The good news is that they might see him because they are out there all day. They are great at spotting animals because they know Mommy loves animals and they tell her all the stuff they see.
On Friday my Mommy has a vacation planned that can't be moved. She is afraid to leave the search effort and will have a horrible time if Gilmore is not found by then.
Tomorrow there will be a stop at animal control to let them know Gilmore is ours in case anyone calls or tries to turn him in.
We have a second trap set for him and Mommy will get more.
Seeing Gilmore's sweet orange furface looking back at her on those posters made Mommy fall apart. Please keep purring that he will be found.

Nothing in the trap...no nibbles on the treats around the yard. Mommy and Daddy both kept checking for him every few hours. My family is so sad.

I am afraid I don't have any good news to share like I wanted to. Mommy looked all day and could not find any trace of Gilmore...not even a nibble on a treat. She set a (humane) trap for him with smelly food. His favorite bed is outside for him to smell his house smells on. Tomorrow Mommy will spend the day dropping flyers everywhere and looking for more traps to use. Mommy and Daddy are heartbroken and getting very discouraged. It was so great when he seemed to want to come home last night, but now he's just totally gone. Mommy will go out looking again every couple of hours tonight. Right now she would be satisfied with only a sighting just to know he's still around and ok.
Please keep the purrs coming.
Love to all,
Catsy Angel Princess
