Princess is ill

Princess is not feeling well today, and we are all purring and praying for her. She was vomiting all morning and mommy is caring for her. We will keep everyone posted on her progress. Right now she is starting to drink and is up and walking around a bit again. We will post more tomorrow.

In Memory of Miss Dback

It's so hard to believe that my dear sister, Miss Dback, has gone to the Bridge. Just one week ago we were playing together, not suspecting that anything was wrong. At least she never let on that anything was. Monday night she was feeling ill, Tuesday morning mommy rushed her to the hospital and the rest of the week has been a blur for all of us. She was laid to rest Saturday morning, in a nice shady spot next to her beloved Buster.

I will never forget Miss Dback. She had such a sweet disposition and loved to cuddle. She loved to sit on mommy's chair in the Master Bath and I alwasy knew that if I wanted to meow I could find her there...and she always listened to what I had to meow.

In the end, I know that she loved Buster even more than life itself, and that she could not bear to be separated. Somehow, through time and space, the ties that bound the two of them had remained connected and it was inevitable that she must join him.

I am sad and I miss her terribly, but at the same time I am happy for her because I know that she is overjoyed to be with her soul mate Buster again. I wish them many happy days together at the Bridge playing in the catnip fields that we have heard of. Save a place for me, Miss Dback. I know that one day, when it is our time, we will all be together again. You always were, and will always be loved by all.

Birthday Madness

Gosh- what a party that was yesterday. I can not remember ever having such a good time before. I loved the dancing the best...being a spry little thing, I was a dancing machine. I do think that I may have had just a bit too much cheesecake and a bit too much catnip cooler!!!! That cake that Ashlye brought was also delicious....we must do this again next year.

Meowy Birthday to me!

Wow! What a day I have had. Today is my 9th birthday, and what a good day I have had. All day long there have been gifts, pawmails, stars, rosettes, and even a special white meat tuna platter for diner! Yummy! If not for the part about getting older, I would have a birthday every day!

Tomorrow will be busy, with the party preparations in high gear. This weekend is the big Luau, and I have been making final alterations on my catnip grass skirt!!!! Thanks to everyone who remembered my birthdat and helped to make today special for me.

Moving right along...

Me-WOW! What a busy 2 weeks I have had. Being new to Catster, there are so many things I had to do. First of all, I had to learn how to use the computer! I had to learn about graphics (I am still working on that) and I even learned how to Instant Message (thank you Sasha).

I don't want to go too much further without meowing a special pur-rayer for my beloved lion king. Buster dear, I am purring and praying so hard for you. It is two weeks today since you went to the Bridge, and I miss you terribly. I must say that Buster's site looks the best out of all of ours (mine is second to his). I hope he likes what we did with his site. He tried so hard when he was alive and would not ask for help- but with him being blind, he could not manage the graphics.

Time to go and resume my post on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen! I'll meow more later-

My Debut

Dear Diary-

I want to meow a big hi to all of my new friends at Catster. My name is Nikki, but Princess Nikki suits me better. A genuine Aristo-CAT, mommy even said so. I enjoy the finer things in life, but am reminded that family and friends are on top of the list of the finest things life has to offer.

I joined the family when I was about 6 weeks old, and at taht tiem it was only Tayla and myself. Over the years our family has grown and I have been blessed with 3 kitty sisters, and a doggie sister. I have the most wonderful brother, but he died yesterday and so this has been a sad time for us all. He is my guardian angel now.

I love to perch in high places, am very musical and love to sing. Mommy says that sometimes I sing so loudly I wake the neighbors, but I think that she is exaggerating! At least I sing in tune (that is what I tell her)!!!! I love to chase furry mice and lay in the sun for a long nap. And, I love LOTS of attention. The more, the better.

So hello to all of you at Catster and I hope to meow to you all real soon.
