indoors Arrival Story: A poor little abandoned kitten had taken up so-called residence in a small park in New york city. People would leave the kitten cans of food because they felt sorry for an affectionate orange little runt that lived on a stone ledge. One day my husband even saw him trembling from freezing cold, with cold rain pouring out of the sky and nowhere to hide... So he decided to take him home :) The next time he came with a cat carrier, into which this little kitten jumped with a peculiar relief. In this next chapter of his life, Nikki had to go through a lot of veterinary treatment, but he made it.
A few years later, the first day Nikki ever met me, he resisted meeting me by hiding for an hour behind the couch with a freaked expression on his face. But over time he came to like me and we became close friends. We both found home in each other's company! Bio: Nikki is closest to my heart... I don't know how it came to be... but I think he is my feline soulmate. I'm not sure if it's because he has a very big personality with incredibly beautiful sparkling eyes, or a sweetness lurking under his tough demeanor that makes me love him so. There is also something very spiritual about him. Sometimes I think he can read my thoughts and soothe them in a subtle way without doing anything.
