Morning Mousie

I found a mousie in the basement! Oh, I had so much fun with that mousie. It would go behind a backpack on the floor. I would wait and it would come out. I would try to get it. It would scamper behind something else.
I just loved chasing that mousie and waiting for it to show it's little gray body.
Mother couldn't find me upstairs. I am almost always upstairs sleeping on a people bed. She might have been thinking I was stuck in a closet or something.
She came downstairs and saw me playing with my mousie. Father came downstairs next. They were proud of me for finding that mousie.
The mousie went away then. I don't know where it disappeared to. I hope I can find that mousie again soon.

Classic Movie viewing

The movie the family was watching last night caught my eye. I watched part of the classic movie "White Christmas".
Oh, it was so colorful and the people danced so fast. They were all banging on tambourines.
I just loved it. I watched from the arm of the loveseat. Just that one scene. Then I took a nap.

Watching TV

Last night there was a program on TV that I was very interested in watching. It was about dogs! Dogs were herding sheep into little corrals. Dogs were playing hide and seek with a person. Dogs were walking with a police officer and then attacking(!) another man.
It was fascinating. I got close to the TV and even sat on my fluffy rear end so I could see better.
I wonder what will be on tonight.

Sneezing

I have been sneezing quite a bit lately. I must have allergies.
I hope I'm not allergic to cats!

A fun toy I found

In one of our bathrooms, I mean for the people, not a litter box, there is a big white place. Sometimes it gets wet in there. Anyways, there is a toy in there sometimes. It is a tiny little Barbie hat looking thing in the part where the water goes away. Sometimes the little hat even has a hairball in it! Fun, fun, fun!
I like to play with the little hat thing while I am in the big white thing. I can bat it around and around. Then I can hook my claws into the hat and flip it out. Then I can bat it around the bathroom. Most of the time I like to bat the little hat out of the bathroom and kitty-corner (teehee) into the girl's room. There is more room in there to bat the hat!
I used to play almost every night with that little hat. I have a hard time finding it nowadays. But I did find it this morning! I played in the big white thing with my little hat. Then the mother took it away from me.

Our Mommy is always making nice, healthy treats for the doggies.

Have I ever mentioned I am not allowed on the kitchen counter?
Ooops.

My Special Talent

My family was watching a Star Trek DVD last night. They had just started with The Corbomite Maneuver. I was trying to get comfy between the man and the teenage boy. As I was doing that, I walked on the remote control. Suddenly, we were watching Dagger of the Mind.
They really don't know how I managed to switch to a totally different episode. I don't really know either. It's just a talent I have, I guess.

One Mouse or Two

Oh my, I know I caught a mouse the other day. I thought I left it laying on the basement floor, without it's head. I can't remember if I ate the head. Or did I just bite off the head and take it to another area of the basement?
Or did I eat the one mouse head and then the next day catch another mouse and eat it's body leaving the head under the weight bench?
Oh my, I can't remember. Now I can't find my one mouse or two mice.

Things We Must Remember

Forgive me if you have already seen this list. I thought it was worth reading and heading.

1. Screaming at the can of food will not make it open itself.

2. I should not assume the patio door is open when I race outside to chase leaves.

3. If I put a live mouse in my food bowl, I should not expect it to stay there until I get hungry.

4. The guinea pig likes to sleep once in a while. I will not watch him constantly.

5. If I bite the cactus, it will bite back.

6. I will not stand on the bathroom counter, stare down the hall, and growl at nothing right after my human has finished watching "The X-Files".

7. Television and computer screens do not exist to backlight my lovely tail.

8. No matter how dangly and attractive they are, my human's earrings are not cat toys.

9. If I play 'dead cat on the stairs' while people are trying to bring in groceries or laundry, one of these days it will really come true.

10. My human is capable of cooking bacon and eggs without my help.

11. The canned cat food is already dead. I do not need to kill it by swatting bits of it all over the floor.

12. I am a carnivore. Potted plants are not meat.

13. I will never be able to walk on the ceiling, and staring up the wall and screaming at it will not bring it any closer.

14. It is not a good idea to try to lap up the powdered creamer before it all dissolves in the boiling coffee.

15. The goldfish likes living in water and must be allowed to remain in its bowl.

16. If my human wants to share her sandwich with me, she will give me a piece. She will notice if I start eating it from the other end.

17. I cannot leap through closed windows to catch birds outside.

18. The large dog in the back yard has lived there for six years. I will not freak out every time I see it.

19. I am a neutered cat, not a peacock, and prancing around with my tail fluffed up will not make my parts grow back.

20. If I must give a present to my humans's overnight guests, my toy mouse is much more socially acceptable than a live cockroach, even if it isn't as tasty.

I don't know if anycat is interested but here are a few facts about me.

I like to play with small pieces of paper. There's one under our oven right now.

I like to curl up in someone's lap.

I find open suitcases quite comfy.

I am always happy.

I knead but I keep my claws tucked in.

I usually help when someone is typing at the computer.

I like to hunt bugs.

I am quiet except while waiting for breakfast to be served.
