It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go!!! It's an exciting and happy time of year....and yet
I have been stopped in mai tracks...stopped and made to think....
There are furmilies who are hurting this year cuz their furbaby has travelled to the Bridge.
A very sad one I came across last week. I want to share it with all of you. His name is Moppie and he was only two!! Just a baby, really!! Anyway, Moppie was playing with a toy and he swallowed some of the toy and it made him very sick. It hurt his insides very badly too. I have his page Id right here and I think it only right that we all should visit with him and read the diary entry about this unfortunate event and help his Meowmy and furmily
Now lots of us will be getting toys, and there are dangly things hanging from the trees. I am not going to tell anyone what to do, only please ask you all too supervise your kibbies and also to go thru the toys and check them over.
I know Meowmy, Auntie and Santa, along wif a few of mai closest furinds have given us lots of toys this year. We are going thru all of our toys today and not going to be sentimental about any of them...if one means a lot, put it in a keepsake box...otherwise any that look a little old or worn, out it goes
We feel so bad for Moppie, Meowmy, who has to type this fur me, is crying hard right now...awww Meowmy, here, let me wipe your tears..we need to get the word out so this doesn't happen again!!
Moppie's death will never be forgotten, and let's all get the word out and keep all of our kibbies safe this year and always!!
Thank you...now go look thru all of your toys and look at the strings on the ornaments on the tree, if it is thin, how about buying a spool of ribbon and using ribbon instead of the thin string they use on ornaments.
Yes, its Christmas time and there are Angels all around us ~
That's an important message, Friday. My Mommy always checks my toys to make sure they are safe for me to play with. That's so sad for Moppie. I will check Moppie's page and pay respects to his family.
Our little sisfur Zelda Lu (aka Little LuLu) is always into stuffs. When she was younger she to ate a piece of toy it was sisal she too gots very sick. She was pitting up blood. She was taken to the Emergency Vets and they x-rayed her gave her lots of fluids and kept her overnight to watch. We than had to take her to our reg vet. The kept her all day and night. Giving her fluids and watching her. She was very lucky. She didn't have to be operated on and she did pass the rest of the sisal. We try to check all their toys and we keep the sisal on their cat trees trimmed. Who would think a toy would do so much damage or cause death. Please beware of toys....make sure they are safe enough for you furry and keep your eyes for loose pieces, stuffings, strings, etc. Have a safe and Happy Holiday everyones.
Golly this is so sad... and skeerie...
We are agree, Mom really watches what she puts on the tree, which we are not putting up this year because it is packed up for our move in 2014....and now she is going to go through all of our toys too...we are getting motion toys with batteries...Mom pulls them out only when she is here with us and can watch us...
One of the doggies Mom walks ate one of his rubber toys, he got very sick and had to had surgery, luckily he made it through the surgery and is happy & healthy now....so Mom knows about bad toys...
Some of the doggy toys are really bad too....they have things inside them that can hurt them as well...
We are so sad to hear about Moppie, he was so young....unfortunately it was a hard lesson that we are all learning...
Sending love and hugs to his family during this very sad time.
Thank you for sharing Friday! Wishing you and your family HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
We read about Moppie - very sad.
This is a mixed emotion time of year for us... so many blessings, so much hurt... Sending purrs to Moppie and his family, but also to you sweet Friday. Blessings to you.
