Arrival Story: I just went to another state and got Paisley, then named Princess last week. A family had her with four kids and she was the last of the litter b/c of her eyes. I knew right away she needed to get to a vet ASAP and she hadn't been and after emailing the family several times, sounded as if they weren' t interested in taking her either. I just told them I would be to get her that day and I took her straight to my vet. I only got to bond with her for about 1 hour while traveling. She was so sweet. I have had to leave her at the vet for them to try to treat her eyes. They weren't sure if it could be caused by herpes or Calici virus or what, so to be safe she has stayed with the vet. She is having steroid shots and antibiotics with no results so it appears she will be blind in both eyes. My husband don' t even know that I have her yet but I decided she would be my Christmas present to myself...lol...I knew better than to think I would ever adopt her to anyone else. Mom plans on putting a big, red, bow on my head and telling Daddy to shut his eyes and laying my little cute self in his arms. (mommy discussed this plan with me on the way to the vets..she told me to put on my best cutsie face) . Mom is sure this is going to win dad over! He isn't as tough as he thinks he is, mom says. If blinking my cute little eyes isn't good enough for him, mom thinks she will try and see if it works...MOL! It seems everyone she meets just falls in love with her, I sure hope her daddy does.

Does this happen to all BIG GURLS? Mommy said I had to go stay at the vet for a day because I was a BIG GURL now and had to have S-U- um, S-U-R, shoot all these big words for such tiny gurls. S-U-R-G-E-R-Y...sheeww...I had to ask mommy's help on that one. She keep saying that I had to have my innards out so that I didn't get preggers. Humans are so complicated! Can anyone tell me what on earth that means? I thought I was nearly going to starve to death and then I have to go in the car...yeah that's real fun! Then Mommy hands me to Dr. Becky and my favorite vet tech, Tondria and the next thing I know I wake up and I am sore and throwing up. But boy when I got h ome, I felt so much better! Mommy said I had been a big grouchy butt before I went. Anyway, I am not so sure that being a BIG GURL is all it's cracked up to be! I am sure glad to be back home with mommy!

Well I am here, at home...I have no idea what is going on, everywhere I turn there is someone sniffing my butt, my ear, my face, something...whats up wif all this sniffin? I don't feel so goods after getting all these sharp things stuff in me. Mom picks me up and I yell "put me back down..ouch" Toodles evidently thinks I am some kind of stuffed toy because she keeps bonking my head. I am not so sure that being home is a good thing.....
