Onyx is fairly shy, but after he warms up to you and lets you pet him, he'll follow you around from room to room like a little shadow for more lovins. He especially likes "rough" lovins... petting his fur a bit rough really gets his motor going, and will ensure you'll be tripping over him for a bit until you he gets his fill of lovins from you! I just had to write a little bit about my best buddy, Zephyr. I truly love my Zephie... to snuggle with, groom, nap, and wrestle with. He loves me too and thinks I'm tops. If you're looking for me, just find Zeph... and I'll be nearby (if not right next to, or on top of him... hehe!) I always know he'll be there for me.... my true and bestest friend.
Well, I see I haven't written in my diary since the Christmas before last! But I have to tell you what happened with the tree this past Christmas...
Miss Shelby came to live with us last summer, and she's OK. I don't cuddle up to her like I do with my Zephie and Magic, but we get along fine. However she took over the Christmas tree... from the moment it went up, to the moment Mom took it down... SHE was IN IT!!!
The rest of us hardly got to rearrange any of the ornaments to our liking, as she was constantly rearranging the WHOLE tree to make her sleeping nest in it! We had to be content with batting around what she threw out of it, and then it didn't seem like near as much fun as picking out and getting our own toys.
We had always taken really good care of the tree, and paid it lots of attention during the season when it was up. But none of us had ever climbed up IN it until she came. Squirt took great notes, and tried several times to show her what she taught him... but darn if she didn't bap him in the face when he tried to get up in there with her! I didn't even try... I'm easy going and don't like to egg on wrestling matches too much with anyone- unless it's with my buddy Zephyr! I always feel comfy with him, even if we're wrestling.
Maybe next Christmas Miss "I Own The Christmas Tree" will give someone else a chance...
Has it been a whole year already? I'm sensing that this fun and colorful, albeit artificial, tree gets erected on a regular schedule. We were all really excited when we realized it was time!
As mom and the boy started putting it together, we all tried to help the best we could. Squirt, and Luna were trying to inspect the light cords. Misty and me like chewing on and taste testing the branches. Rascal and Magic were doing a grand job inspecting all the boxes. I thought everything was going along just grand. But mom didn't seem to want our help! She and the boy kept saying "noooo" and directing us away from all the good stuff. But we really wanted to help, so we didn't pay that much mind.
Then.... out came the dreaded water squirt bottle!!! Egads!! I hate the squirt bottle! Every time one of us would really be getting into our work, that thing would spray us with WATER! So we decided just to make due and play instead of work. But mom and the squirt bottle didn't seem to like that either! Sheesh... it sure put a damper on things. Finally we decided to wait until mom and the boy went to bed to work on it!
