...we lovingly remember our sweet Misky on what would have been her 16th birthday. She's been gone for such a short time and her passing is still affecting us quite a lot...especially her children. Bug,Ernie,Missy, and Bert have become very quiet, but still remain very affectionate. Perhaps seeking even more attention and loves than before. Totally understandable. Missy, however, has taken her Mother's passing very hard. Since she lost her mama she isn't eating properly and is becoming too thin. She has so much sadness in her eyes that it just breaks our hearts. Sadly,I think that Missy will be joining her mama and her sister Slick one of these days and there really isn't anything that we can do about it.
We also remember Misky's brother Tommy. They were litter mates. Born on this day along with 3 other siblings. Tommy lived with our human Grandma, but the leukemia took him when he was only 3 years old. Misky and Tommy's siblings only lived a few days before they crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Being born leukemia positive to leukemia positive parents just doesn't make for good odds at all. Misky and her kids defied the odds. No one gave them a chance...except for one person. Our Mom. She insisted that they be given the chance to have lives that were as happy and long as possible. Misky had almost 16 years. Slick had 11 years. Missy,Bug,Ernie, and Bert have had 13.5 years so far. So take THAT you dumb virus!!!!
We love and miss you Misky. May you be at peace and happy. Give everyone our love.
P.S. National Jack Rooney Day (AKA my birthday...is right around the corner...5/31/12) so stock up on your toys and catnip. It's a day for ALL cats, and the humans they boss around,to make sure that they are good to EVERYONE and give everyone lotsa LOVE and RESPECT.
