Happy Birthday to our Morgan! She is 17 yrs old today. WoOt!! Gotta love Morgan. She is a shy lil girl,for the most part,but as she's gotten a bit older she doesn't put up with any guff from the likes of...well...me. Why these other guys think that I'm such a pest is beyond me. Did you know that she punches me in the head when I try to eat her food,but she gladly shares with Ben. Hmmmmph. Believe it or not folks,I have matured. I'm 4 now so I'm not quite the naughty guy that I used to be. Anyway...Morgan likes Ben. Perhaps it's because he's pretty laid back and an all around good guy.

As I understand things,according to all of the stories that I've been told,Morgan has always been so very very shy and until Ben came along 8 years ago, poor Morgan hadn't really had a feline friend since her beloved Garth passed away in 1995. She just never bonded with anyone else. Makes me feel sad.

Ya know I've only been around here for 4 years,but I've gotten to know everyone else here pretty well and I've seen changes in everyone. Especially the older guys. Morgan is 17 now,Toby turns 17 in a couple of months,and Cole is 17.5 now. Except for me,Lily,and Dutch everyone else is over the age of 8. No one wants to think of bad things that happen as we age and even when you know that certain things are going to happen...sure doesn't mean that it hurts less. Ugggg ok...enough of this reality/sad stuff.....

In other news: Holy macaroni it's been hot and humid here.(air conditioning is great!)But do you know how hard it is to get in any quality window basking time when it's so hot? It's not easy especially if you're a black cat. Last week I was pretty sure that after 5 minutes in the window I was just gonna burst into flames.(*note to Mom* Awnings might be a good idea...I'm just sayin...) The last few days have been decent so we're all getting some serious window time in before it turns all hot again. And oh joy! There are birds and bunnies all over to watch and chatter at and even with the windows open my allergies are behaving themselves.

Ok I see that Dutch is napping on the couch so I should go pick on him like he does to me sometimes.

That is all...now go play...
