Well last night was not fun at all! Mommy had to take me to the emergency hospital last night! Mommy can't figure out what happened but when she was going to bed last night around 2am she noticed my eye was really, really, REALLY swollen. So much so that you could only see the pupil of my eye. Mommy thinks I might have been wrestling with Alex. Mommy has never seen anything like this she said and she called the Kitty ER to see if they thought I should come in. They said most definitely so in the carrier I went. Thank goodness the shelter from Conneticut sent Mommy her new carrier just 3 days ago. (They lost hers when she sent it along on a trnasport.) I was the very first one to poop in it. Hey, you never know what can happen when a guy gets nervous. Those car rides are stressful. To add the cherry to the cake, it was snowing lots and lots and lots. There was 6 inches on the ground so far and the plow trucks didn't plow any of the roads yet so Mommy had to drive real slow. Dr. Smith said that my eyelids are too swollen to do any real tests and tell what is wrong so he gave me eye medicine and medicine to put in my mouth. Mommy says it will make all the swelling go down so that my regular vet can look in my eye in a day or two and see if it is scratched. Mommy says thank God for small miracles because since her and Daddy lost their jobs, things have been really tough with money and my whole visit including seeing the vet, a shot of sub Q anti-biotic, a tube of eye goo, and three syringes of anti-biotic for Mommy to give me, the whole thing only cost $146. She thinks that was pretty good considering it is an emergency clinic. So we got home around 4:30am and Mommy and Daddy crashed in bed. I am fine in every other way. Mommy says the whole eye thing probably bothers her a lot more than it does me. :) Well I am off to nap in a sun beam. I had a late night you know! ;)
