Purr for Madi Day

My sister Jager is in a group just for black cats call Black Cats Crossing our Paths (BCCP). One of the members, Bear, has a sister, Madi, who is ill. The group has decided to show there support by declaring Friday January 25th , 2008, Purr for Madi Day. To show support for Madi and her family they are changing there photo to a special one for the day. Once Jager told me about it I had to join in with some extra puuuurrrs for Madi. I hope you join in too!!

Meowlo all my special furriends...

As you all know, our sweet member Bear's sisfur Madi is very sick...she has always been a bit poorly but of late she has been very sick, and has her meowmy and her furrmily so worried...

So tomorrow (friday the 25th) is officially "Purr for Madi Day" and I know it would mean so much to them to see her pic everywhere, and to feel the power of the purr at work!

Mmmmmmm

Yesterday Mom and Dad had a snow day! It was great they stayed home with us all day. Mom always gets so happy when it snows (that's what the cold white stuff is called). Mom made turkey sausage and I got to have some! Mmmmmm it was good!

This weekend was fun Mom and Dad's friends were over to watch football. I used to hide because of all the yelling, but now I'm used to it. They were talking about this thing called a super bowl. I hope it's a really big bowl of treats!!

*scampers off*

I missed it!

Mom hasn't been feeling to well for the past couple of days so Jager and I were busy making her feel better so I totally missed being the dairy pick of the day!! I am quite honored and want to say thank you to all the cool cats who congratulated me! Mom says that she will make me a special dinner tonight to celebrate!!

In other news the NH Primary is over. Mom is happy that she can start answering the ringing thingy again. It kept making noise all day long and interrupted several good naps. Mom said it was her "reward" for being an involved citizen, you get hounded with phone calls every election.

Well that's all I have to say at the moment, there is a great sunbeam that comes into the living room at this time of day I have to go get it before Jager gets there!!

Today my sister Jager wrote all about our 2007. Check out her diary! It's super long, I had to finally kick her off the computer because it was time for our second afternoon nap.

Long Time Since I Wrote

Well after many tries I finally figured out Mom’s password. I guess she got tired of me ordering toys over the interweb while she was at work. I keep telling her it was Jager (my sister), but I don’t think she is buying it.

Mom and Dad just had a big New Years Party and there were dogs! In my house! I was concerned ‘cause I’m (I mean Jager) is afraid of dogs. I’m not afraid; I just hid so Jager wouldn’t feel bad that she was.

It’s gotten really cold here and there is a lot of that white stuff outside. Mom really likes it, but it makes Dad grumpy. Once Mom brought me out side and let me touch the white stuff, it was cold and wet. I didn’t like it. I do like watching it float by the window though. Since our house is chilly during the day Mom has taken to leaving us piles of fluffy blankets. I really like sleeping in them. But the best is when Mom and Dad go to bed, they push this button and the bed gets warm. Then I crawl into the blankets in between them and purr because it’s so warm. I have tried to push the button because I have seen Mom do it, but I guess it doesn’t work for cats. This stinks because Jager and I would keep pushing it so the bed stayed warm all day!

Oooo I hear a noise, got to go, could be something fun!

What color am I?

Hello fellow cats!
My name is Luna. I’m a … well I’m not sure what color I am … When I was little I was light grey with black tabby stripes. So I would think that would make me a grey tabby. But I have a white chin and bib and belly. My front paws are white, and I have a white sock and a white boot on my back legs. Now that I’m older my hairs have gotten darker. The tips of my hairs are a very dark grey (or black on the stripes) and white underneath, so according to this website I was reading that makes me a black smoke. But I still have tabby stripes so I don’t think I can really be a black smoke because the definition made it sound like I had to be a solid color on the “smoky” part. I’m darkest along my spine and tail and I get lighter towards my belly. Some of my stripes are hard to see now, because I got so dark, but they are still there. So I did all this research and I still can’t figure out what color I am. When I asked my Mom, she told me that I was the color “puuurrrrfect”, but I don’t think that’s a real color. Can anyone help me figure it out?
