Arrival Story:
We moved into our house in April of '97 and in the midst of unpacking we dicovered a pregnant cat hanging out in our garage. Being the animal lovers that we are, we made a nice little place where she could have her kittens. In a few days out popped five little ones. They were all so cute but we knew we couldn't keep all of them so we found homes for four and decided to keep Pebbles. I remember it was the night before I was suppose to give Sabastian to his new family I was sitting on the sofa and he was behind me playing with my hair. I turned around to pick him up and he gave me this look that tore right through me. We stared at each other for about a minute and he melted my heart with his loving gaze. I knew I could never part with my little boy.

Feeling Much Better

I’m feeling much better, thank you. I finished all my antibiotics like a good boy. My Mom was sure good in hiding them in pieces of cheese and ham. I knew they were in there but I couldn’t taste them so I went ahead and swallowed them. I still remember, as if it were yesterday, what happened last time I had to take some pills. Mom would almost have to sit on me to hold me down so she could shove those stupid horse capsules down my throat. It was a real battle and she would always win. I decided early on that I was not going to do that again…
I still have to take these capsules that Mom sprinkles on my food. They really don’t taste too bad, kind of like chicken. I have to take them for another three weeks. I love it because Mom lets me sit on the kitchen cabinet while she prepares my food with the medicine. I also get to eat my favorite, CANNED FOOD! I also get to sit there and eat it while my siblings sit on the floor glaring at me. hehehe…I love all the special attention that my Mom gives me when I’m sick. She’s the best!!!

Oh Sabastian, my beautiful black stallion. You would sit with me forever if you could, kneading contently while you lovingly gaze into my eyes. Those golden orbs that warm my heart and soul.
So many times when I was sick, you stayed right by my side not wanting to move even to eat. You have always wanted to take care of me and try to make me feel better. You will never know just how much better I felt when you were near me where I could pet your soft, shiny, black coat. You are my little buddy and I will love you forever… Mommy

Having A Bad Week

It’s only Tuesday and it has already been a terrible week. Mom noticed me sitting in the liter box for long periods of time this past weekend. So being a Mom, she was really concerned and called the Vet to make an appointment to make sure that I was okay.
So on Monday, Mom takes me to THAT place which by the way reminds me of some type of animal torture chamber. Anyway, they were concerned that I might have crystals in my urinary tract…OUCH!!! I had them before and got really sick and almost died. I guess Mom noticed the first signs and decided to nip it in the bud before it got too bad.
Well, they decided that I should spend the night so they could take some more tests in the morning. I sure do hate being away from my Mom but I was a real trooper and didn’t even give a whimper. I really liked one of the girls that worked there. She kept telling me that I was such a good kitty and began petting me all over.
Boy, it sure was a long night. All I kept thinking about was my Mom and when is she going to get me out of here. Oh, I feel a panic attack coming on…
Well, it’s Tuesday morning and the Vet came in to check on me and did a little poking and prodding. It looks like I have some crystals again but they were very small and could be treated easily. Yipeee!!!
My Mom finally came around noon time to pick me up. I was so happy to see her face. Did I tell you that I’m a Mammas Boy? Purrrrrrrrrr!!!
The Vet gave Mom some pills that I have to take. HaHa…Fat chance. I’m good at holding them in my mouth and then spitting them out when no ones watching. And don’t think you can put it in my food and I wouldn’t know. We’ll see who wins the battle of the pills…
I's been a long two days. I think I'll take a little catnap before Mom gets home from work.
