I'm jealous

Mom brought home a DOG yesterday. Sassy is mad at her but I'm so jealous. I didn't mind sharing Mom with Sassy because she's older than me but a DOG...But she did get us a funny new literbox, it moves. It looks funny and it makes noise but I like watching it go around. I like it so much better than our old litterbox. Every time it goes around, I like to go see that it really is clean :)

Imitation Manx

I am now an imitation Manx. I had to go to the vet on Thursday for something Momma called "neutering". They were very nice to me there, they fixed my little tail too. I feel so much better, I have been chasing my fur sister around. And I have been sneak attacking Momma and my human sister, and Daddy too. I like to lie in his lap while he watches TV.

Ohhh, I just heard a can open, let's go see what's cooking in the kitchen :)

small setback

well, my tail was getting better, until I tried to play w/ Momma while she was cleaning. She moved and I moved and I got my tail under her foot. She was so sorry but I know it wasn't her fault, she tells me she can't play while cleaning. I even had my bandage off but she had to put a new one on again. My tail is only about 4" long now and it's heavy with this bandage. Mommy put some kind of weird stretchy stuff on it and I can't get it off.

Did you see my newest picture? That's my favorite place, on Momma's shoulder. I even sit there sometimes and help her wash dishes. When she's done I run off with the cloth so she will play with me. Being a human must be so boring, they don't get to play all the time like we do. My sister sleeps a lot and gets grumpy when I wake her but sometimes she will get down and play with me.

I like to sit on the table where Momma has the computer. She lets me get in her lap and I watch her talk to her friends and then I get to talk to mine.

Getting better

My little tail is finally getting better. Momma has it wrapped where I can't mess with it. Friday was horrible because I got it unwrapped again and it itched. I chewed on it and it hurt so bad but I had to stop the itching. My human sister held me down while Momma put something cold on it and then she put this huge bandage over it. It's hard to hold my tail straight up but now even when Buttons comes over it doesn't hurt.

Momma also brought me a surprise last week. She said if I was going to go outside I was getting a harness. It feels a little funny on me but if it means I get to go outside then I'll put up with it. It's a little big but Momma says I will grow into it. I finally got to go outside and I didn't get in trouble either. Momma put something on the harness called a leash. It keeps me from running away when I get scared. It was so much fun outside. My fur sister went outside too but she just rolled around in the grass. There was another cat out there that Momma talked to but she ran away from me. Momma said she used to be my fur sister but she didn't want to share so she went to live with a different family.

Outside has these noisy things that went past. Momma said I am very alert because I watched them go by until I couldn't see them anymore. They didn't scare me, well most of them didn't but some were very big and loud. Some other human came by and he tried to talk to me. He wasn't inside so I hid behind Momma. I heard him tell Momma it was cute to see me on a leash. Momma said she wants to take me some place called PetsMart and doesn't want me to be scared, she wants me to ride on her shoulder like I do at home. If it means more treats I'm all for it.

Momma said she has added new pictures today.

Getting better

My poor little tail feels funny without my fur on it. But Mommy said we had to do it to keep those little things off, I hate the way they bite me. Mommy said they're fleas but I'm old enough now for stuff to keep them off me. I guess it's like when Mommy puts that nasty smelling stuff on my human sister so she can play outside. Mommy said she is getting me a harness tomorrow. I'm not sure what that is but she said I will be able to go outside so it has to be good. Mommy brought home some new treats yesterday because she was gone so long. I got bored because my fur sister didn't want to play with me, she just wanted to sleep.

My Tail of Devotion for Alex

Alex has only been with me for a few months but already I can not imagine life without him. He was found, abandoned by his mother, by my daughter the end of April 2006. She brought him inside to me because she had heard from my siblings how I used to bring home animals and raise them. He was so small he did not even cover her small 7 yr old hand. I bundled him into a bandana and went outside to look for the mother. I watched for hours, hoping the mom would come back and she never did. When my husband got home from working on a car, we went and got formula and eye droppers. When I got him to the vet a couple days later he was only 2.7 oz. The vet said he might have been abandoned because he was so small.

I spent the next 7 weeks handfeeding him with a bottle. I fed him on demand and carried him with me everywhere I went. When he started walking he followed me all around the house. When I am upset, he climbs into my lap and starts purring away. He lies on my computer desk and watches me when I am online. He is just like a human baby sometimes and he is spoiled rotten. When he thinks he is alone, he will start "crying" for me but as soon as I call him he comes running and jumps in my lap to be loved. And he is my daughter's playfriend and tolerates her carrying him around and dressing him.
