indoors Arrival Story: The Winter of 2004 was VERY cold here. It would get to minus 25 degrees for days at a time. I knew the town cats were coming to my porch to get warm milk and food but one caught my eye. She was living under the porch and was very vocal. It took me a few days to get her to trust me enough to pet her. We progressed to letting her on our back proch which is protected from the elements until she got her check up. The poor thing was half frozen and covered in mats. Once we got her strength up I took her in to get spayed. I had put signs up and an add in the paper but again nobody answered it. I kind of thought she had been abused because she was very shy. She literally lived under my daughters bed only coming out to eat and use the litter box. The saddest part is that she did have a home at one time. The vet called me after the shaved her belly. Aparently she could see the scar from where she had her surgery. Lexi did have a home at one time, and she probably was abused. I guess we will never know but I am happy that she now has us. Bio: Lexi looks a lot like a Norwegian Forest Cat. Her fur gets so think that now and then we take her to get a trim. When she has her full coat she looks almost like a lion. Now that she is more trusting she likes to sleep right next to my pillow purring until she goes to sleep. We were going to try to adopt her out, but again we just could not let go. She balances out our family quite well. When the boys (Fester and Mavis) start to fight she sticks her paw in to break it up. She is our familys version of the United Nations. She does have a drooling problem. If you pet her just right she will start drooling all over you. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 The Groups I'm In: ♥ =^..^= 4 The Love of Cats =^..^= ♥, Pretty Kitties!!
