Arrival Story:
I met and moved in with Hoochie around the year 1992. I had never seen a Staffordshire bull terrier. This little madam had me and everyone who met her wrapped around her little paw. I could be speaking to someone, and Hoochie would (nearly) answer! She really enjoyed me as her new mother. I persuaded her daddy to let her in at nights.....then through the days......then on the couch..... I will always hold Pookie dear to me, she really showed me the meaning of "man's best friend"!

Bio:
Our Sweet Girl had cancer - she lived to the ripe old age of 17. She was put to sleep at home, on her bed, cradled by her Daddy. He patted her for awhile after she passed with tears streaming down his face - we then buried her in our front yard - a section we had planned to be our pet cemertary. Her Daddy laid her down in the earth and picked a beautiful red rose, he put this on her. I will never forget this moment in my life. It was the saddest but most loving scene. Hoochie's Daddy wants to be cremated and his ashes buried with his baby girl. I hope I am here to fulfill his last request.

My little Pookie girl,

It has been so long since you left me. I still dream that you are with me then wake up and realise it was a dream and feel so sad. The heart ache never leaves.

Still miss you every day my precious baby girl

Mummy xxx

They say memories are golden
Well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
And heartache made a lane.
I'd walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

This is a special Tail of Devotion
