indoors Arrival Story: My whole life I wanted a kitten and never had one. In 2005 my husband said I could get a kitten for Christmas. Two days before my birthday we drove 2 hours to pick him up. We chose him as he was the most vocal of the kittens except he turned out to be quite quiet and actually sounds like a broken squeak toy. Bio: Latte has had 2 serious illnesses in his little life. Its a miracle he recovered and his first illness baffled every single vet (including those at UPenn). Oh and there was also the time he almost lost his tail. It was completely limp at the base and the vets were shocked it wasn't broken.
When he was 6 months old he started to kick his hind foot out while sitting. It progressed to the point where he was limping so I took him to the vet. We had x-rays done and it was assumed all was well, he had just taken a fall. He started to get worse so I called back and my usual vet wanted me to bring him in immediately. There was a strange fuzzyness and moth eaten quality to his femur. That night Latte crashed and we took him to the specialists. They did a bone biopsy and it was determined that its was nothing more than an infection. None of the vets believed it, they all though he had cancer. But my regular vet believed in him and put him on heavy antibiotics for 6 weeks. He got better!!!!
At the end of the antibiotics we noticed his head was tilted to the left. Again the vets thought it was cancer; brain cancer. But he passed all neurological exams and without an MRI (too costly) the wonderful vet again found the right medicine. Now he's tilt free!

I got a WHOLE CAN of wet food this morning. It was lamb & turkey and it was sooo good. Meowmy had to keep making Kaze go away 'cause she's a wet food HOG. She even growled at me that I got the wet food. But I love her and left her to finish it 'cause I'm a little guy and can't eat it all myself.
I've seen my new fuzzy wand toy that I get to play with later and we are going on a long stroll.

I was very sick a few times this past spring. They did a biopsy on my femur and that hurt a lot. Then I got nasty medicine for a long time. Then my head was tilted, but I was cool with that, I just looked at an angle. Then more medicine.....
Finally I went off of my medicines and discovered I have kitten ADHD. So my very devoted mom decided to get me a friend. I really like her a lot and I really want to play. Mom says I have to wait until she's healthy though. Phooey, I really want to PLAY!!!!!
You are the bright light to my dark days. Your sweet warmth and soft purrs make my heart flutter with joy when once it was filled with sorrow. When you were so sick I felt a part of me dying with you. I couldn't stand the thought of loosing my precious little one, my little bundle of meezer joy. I've waited my whole life for a kitty like you and I will always do everything I can to make you healthy, strong, and happy.
