Arrival Story:
Squirt was brought into the animal hospital where I worked because his urinary tract was blocked. 200 dollars later they had him well again, but his owners could not keep him...they did not feel like they had the time or money to take care of such a cat. Then one of the doctors at the office took him home... but he is picky about what other cats he befriends, so he fought with her cats and she ended up having to go in and sew up one of her cats on a saturday. Then my roomate and I talked and decided we wanted him. We took our dog in to meet him, and they got along. So then squirt became ours.

Bio:
After we had had squirt for a while he became blocked again. My employee discount came in very handy at this point. We then switched him to the Science Diet C/D food, and he did better for a while...but then got blocked again. After going through this a few more times, UTIs as well as full blockages, the vet talked to me about the possibilty of getting a PU surgery done on him. Basically they reroute his urinary tract. We discussed it some, and decided it was best to do it while i still worked there, to help with some of the cost, and because it was apparent it was going to have to be done evnetually. So now he pees more like a girl (not that you can tell with a cat), but he says he's all man just the same.
