Arrival Story:
We saw Wallie in a petshop that was showing her for a no-kill shelter adoption. About 7 years after Max. He was nervous and sick alot. I thought getting him a cat might help. Wallie was beautiful and since they didn't know what she was, they called her a "Maverick Tabby" and her name was Callie. She rubbed all over the bars and that same day we set up an appt for a home visit, the next day Wallie came home!

Bio:
Her name changed soon as we heard her say "wal" She's VERY vocal. Poke her and she makes noise. Talk to her and she makes noise. Her background was that her past "owners" moved to an apartment that couldn't have pets and gave her to the no-kill shelter. After a year and a half. The damage to her from being abandoned caused her to develop anxiety disorder. Not keeping food down, pulling out patches of fur, licking/scratching raw, getting fat lips... I wish they could see what they did by abandoning her for no reason. She's gotten alot better and is a VERY affectionate cat when she wants to cuddle. She refused medication, but she's doing much better now. :) *Update -Wallie now spends her days in the house upstairs away from the younger cats.

Okay, so I still sleep in the same place, but now I spend my days in the "upstairs" part of the house where that chihuahua lives. Sometimes I even eat my dinner up there. Every morning I go up, and I come back down for bed. I can't sleep up there because they don't like me roaming around and meowing. But I must roam at night, so I accept this.
Now I don't chew my fur off nearly as much or get stressed puffy lower lip like I used to.
Thanks for checking in with me, hopefully I will have more photos soon.

I'm a great kitty!

Yesterday I got TWO kitty treats for my bravery in protecting my home. That's what "they" said anyways. Here's what happened; Here I am in the upstairs part of the house EXCLUSIVE to me - that's right, only I can behave enough to dwell here. That and I don't pee on everything. I have my own window when the chihuahua's not around...a couch...a comfy chair all padded for me...scratchies so that i don't have to bother scratching myself...

oh, i'm not spoiled. i have a stress disorder from abandonment. {PEOPLE}it is NOT okay to give a cat up if you "can't" find an apartment that allows pets. That's the lamest excuse EVER! If you love an animal, if you want an animal, it's part of the family. What if some apartments didn't allow kids?? Despite best intentions of putting me in a great no-kill shelter - look what happened. I get swollen lips, i scratch compulsively, i bite my fur. And I have gotten alot better than i was thanks to my strong Siamese/Tabby back - I mean my family!
*note: Wallie swings between aloof and cuddly. She has a Siamese meow. We scratch her to keep her from over-scratching herself. I'm sure it's convienient for her.

Anyways, so back to my contribution to the family. I saw something running across the rug that night and I screamed. I kept my eyes on it and kept screaming. It was silver with a bunch of legs. Eww. STARE. SCREAM. STARE... I swear humans are sooo slow. So eventually the invader was caught with a wet paper towel and flushed. I am showered with praise and treats and love....
They need me. Max is terrified of bugs, Mr. Tigger likes to watch them until he gets dizzy, Mala has no time for such things, Travi is too hyper to notice anything smaller than the hound... I'm like an alarm. What a GREAT kitty I am...

Please stay nearby- i have new pics coming of me in my newly customized chair. you don't want to miss that!
