Arrival Story:
Sammy was born in a music store on the Oregon coast. His mother was hit and killed by a car before he and his brother could be weaned. The store owner told his wife to take the kittens to the animal shelter. Instead she drove them to her daughter's house (an hour away) to see if she would take them. She couldn't, so the lady happened to run into me at a store where I worked to ask where the animal shelter was. She told me the whole story and how she had been driving these kittens around all day. I asked to look at them and it was all over. Who could say no? The Lady was almost in tears with happiness. Sammy's brother was an adorable orange fluffy tabby named Oliver. They were best friends! Oliver had Feline Leukemia and had to be put down last year.
