 Quick Bio:
| -mixed breed | -part feral | -pound cat | | -cat rescue |
 Birthday: July 7th 1998
 Coloration: Gray Tabby

Likes: There's no doubt about it, Gigi is all about being petted. She will do anything for a good head-rub. If she even sees your hand dangling lazily nearby, watch-out!

Pet-Peeves: Being moved from my computer chair to the bed. Going to the vet (isn't this every cat's pet peeve?).

Favorite Toy: Her dry food. I don't know what started it, but she loves to bat her dry food around on the ground and then, when it's least expecting it, she pounces on it and crunches it.

Favorite Nap Spot: On the carpet in the front room, or on the bed, or on my chair... pretty much anywhere. She's not picky.

Favorite Food: Dry cat food - straight up and the occasional treat. She's never been fond of people food or even wet food.

Skills: She is extremely cute and owns the saddest most pathetic meow you've ever heard.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: I found Gigi and Oscar at a no-kill shelter in Van Nuys, California. Gigi begged us with those big blue eyes to pet her and take her home. We weren't so thrilled with taking her cellmate Oscar with her. He looked wiry and tough -- like he's seen more time inside the big house than outside of it. The owner of the shelter mentioned that they were found together behind a dumpster. Since they were clearly buddies we couldn't separate them, so we sprung Oscar too. When we got Gigi, she was quite overweight. We assumed (wrongly) that she was fat because of being cooped up in a cage for 3 months. Three years and 2 diet plans later, Gigi is still about the same weight. The vet mentioned that she's "big boned," so no more diets for Gigi. She's destined to be a kitty with killer curves.

Bio: The vet noted Gigi's clipped right ear and informed us that she had, at one point in her checkered past, been in a spay and neuter program for feral cats. It's pretty hard for me to imagine my voluptuous indolent Gigi going feral. I just keep on seeing mental images of her wearing her swarovski collar and leaning over a balcony on "Catz Gone Wild."
