CONGRATS BAIL. MY HERO!

Wow, Bail. You hit the Diary Pick of the Day again. That's four times guy. I'm envious of you. I'm also very proud and you're a big brother to look up to.

As to today, all of us are very lazy. It rained really hard about two hours ago and it is a lot cooler. Mommy doesn't have to have the AC on. Good . . . she can save some money.

Also, I was a bad boy. I follow in Sampy's footsteps and have become a Muhahahahah . . . bill chomper. I just chomped down hard on another of Mommy's bills.

Well, this one is short and sweet like me and I've got to go now.

P.S. Mommy got a phone call last night that said, "MUHAHAHAHAH" real loud. It was Daddy Rob being funny! He says that when a thunderstorm is coming, "Muhahahah, it's lightning man!"

THE GREAT FLY HUNTER!

Bail and I were stalking a fly in the living room window. I saw the thing first in the kitchen window, then it flew into the living room window at the landing of the stairs. It got away and flew into the window above the TV. I jumped upon the TV, Mommy raised the blinds for me so I could get better look at the fly, and that's when I caught it. It buzzed and buzzed when I tried to eat it. Boy do I love the way it tickled my lips when it buzzed.

I am fast becoming a pro at this. Bail looked at me and gave me a funny look.

YES, I AM THE GREAT FLY HUNTER. We don't need a fly swatter around here. I'm a living one!

Tha's about all. I'm just a proud little guy (not so little anymore) about catching another fly.

LATE, SHORT SWEET ENTRY

Hi, Merl here. We're late tonight. Mommy nodded on couch for few hours. See Bail's entry for full details.

Update on me:

1. I'm getting even bigger;
2. I'm all ears and feet;
3. My tail is starting to get fuller (when I walk with it full mast, it plumes);
4. I like granola. When Mommy has her morning granola I'm right there for
a taste of it;
5. Bail and Sampy and I had periodic wrestling matches today;
6. I have mastered jumping and leaping like a pro now.

Well, I got to go now.

SORRY!

I'm really sorry I didn't write yesterday. Sampy was the only one who did an entry, and after Mommy was done taking his dictation, she was too tired to do any of ours.

A little update:

1. I'm getting bigger;
2. I think I weigh about 5 lbs. now;
3. I had some catnip this morning. I really love the stuff!;
4. It's going to be hot again today;
5. Bail and I had our usual running up and down the stairs this morning;
6. Sampy and I played for a few minutes.

I got to go now. Mommy has to finish getting ready for work. Sampy and Bail will write tonight.

I KEPT MOMMY AWAKE AGAIN

I can't help it. Around 2:00 - 3:00 a.m. I am most affectonate with Mommy. I get a purring attack and cannot stop. I run all over her head and shoulders purring and licking and rubbing. She puts me off the bed and muhahahahah, I jump back up and into her face and start the whole ritual again. She puts me down again . . . and back up I come! Mommy was starting to get a little aggravated and she said, "stop Merl, I need to sleep! I'm going to have to shut the bedroom door to keep you out so I can sleep." I understood and I stopped and went to sleep on her bed next to her waist.

I got to go now, it's a very nice warm day, the windows are open and Bail and I are going to continue our play session (round two) for the day.

I FELL IN THE TOILET TODAY

Being a kitten, I get very curious about some things and one thing is what humans use for a litter box . . . this funny looking bowl that flushes. Anyway, Mommy always puts down the top lid so us cats won't fall in. She apparently was in a hurry this morning and forgot to put the lid back down, and when she had her back turned, I jumped in. Boy, did I jump back out again and I'm glad the water level in there wasn't very deep. I surely got wet though.

Mommy heard this loud crash and saw me running and wet. She saw water all over the toilet seat too so she knew what had happened. She asked if I was alright and got a towel to dry me off. Luckly water was the only thing in there!

So, that was my adventure for today. Nothing else going on. I missed Mommy today as she had to work. Right now Bail and I are laying in the hall. We're both tired now.

I'M A LIVING FLY SWATTER

I caught a BIG fly this morning in the kitchen window. I bopped it until it was stunned and then I ate it. Not bad at all. Later I bragged to Bail and Sampy about it. They congratulated me. I think Bail is a little jealous because he almost had a fly and it got away.

Oh well, he'll have his turn to catch one. He's pretty quick too.

I must go now. Mommy has to run up to Daddy Rob's for an early dinner and she won't be back until later. Sampy and Bail may have to do their entries tomorrow some time.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF MY LEGS

Tonight Mommy's boyfriend brought her home from work because her car is in the shop. He stopped in to visit with Sampy, Bail and I and held each one of us and gave us hugs and kisses. Anyway, Daddy Rob was holding me and found a "pea-sized" lump on my left back leg. Mommy is now worried and will mention it to the vet after the holiday. It doesn't hurt me when they both touched it. It is not red or anything. It's just there. I hope I'm okay.

Mommy is wondering if anybody out there has heard of a young guy like me getting a lump on their leg or anywhere, in fact.

Anyway, to change the subject, Bail and I had a fly hunt after Daddy Rob left. There was a big fly buzzing around in the living room and we ran and breeped and tried to catch it. Naturally, it got away!

Well, I must go now. Bail and Sampy are bugging me for their turns.

I HAD A PRETTY GOOD DAY TODAY

I started the day right by birdwatching with Bail from the bedroom window. Apparently some birds are nesting in the gutter and we just loved watching them fly back and forth. Later on, of course, I slept, but when Mommy came home, she opened more windows (it was sunny and warmer than this morning). I got to enjoy the remainder of my day in the kitchen window and peeking out the front screen door. There was a little fly on the screen and I breeped at it and ran up the screen to get it, but it got away.

Toward the end of the day Mommy, changed our water dish. I watched her as she did this because I love watching the water pour through the faucet. When she was done filling the water bowl, I jumped in the tub and got my feet wet.

Oh, I almost forgot, we did have a fun catnip party, but Mommy cut us off because Bail was getting a "wildcat attack". I just ran around and boxed Sampy a little. It seems that catnip use turns the day into a "Pick on Sampy Day".

Well, I must go now, Mommy is starting to nod off at the computer and I'm not too awake . . . .

BAD KITTY LIST

I was a bad kitty today and this is what I did:

1. Swung from dining room curtain. Weeeee, I'm Tarzan!

2. Climbed up the table cloth on the dining room table, swung from it
and almost had everything on top of that table come tumbling down to
the floor along with me. For act of destruction, Mommy says she's
going to remove the table cloth and use placemats instead.

3. Got my claws caught in the bathroom window screen. Oh, oh, I got a
nail trim for this one.

4. I kept trying to sneak out the back or front doors whenever
Mommy had to go outside. She's really careful to not let me sneak out.

Other than this, I was a pretty good boy. I just played with Bail, Sampy and my toys. The early morning and early evening is when I make my most mischief . . . I like Mommy to watch it, I guess.

Well, I have to go nappy time, Breep to everybody!
