 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Tortoiseshell Tabby

Likes: Breakfast/dinner time, cuddling on the couch, "yelling" at me when I don't pay attention to her, being brushed, having her belly brushed, strangers who come to visit and pet her (why else would people come over, except to pet the cat?)

Pet-Peeves: She hates having her rear end touched and having her nails trimmed. She is put on alert every time the automatic litter box goes off, and she will run and hide at the sound of the printer.

Favorite Toy: She likes the pink fishing pole with the heart at the end of the string. She will also sometimes play with the laser pointer, but in general we haven't found many toys that Ms. Chloe will play with..

Favorite Nap Spot: On the back of the chair in the living room, on the couch right next to the window or at the foot of my bed.

Favorite Food: Fancy Feast! Yummmmm...

Skills: She has a certain meow that sounds a little like a bird, thus earning her the nickname Chloe Bird. She's also very good at melting people's hearts! :)

Arrival Story: I first met Chloe on my very first stop on my search for the perfect kitty companion. She was in a cage near the floor, at a shelter that primarily lets cats roam in the "adult cat room." I was making my way along the hall toward the big room, and noticed this beautiful girl in her cage. She stood up and greeted me, and I scratched her head through the bars.
After an overwhelming hour in the adult cat room, I left that shelter. I continued my quest for about 4 days, visiting four other shelters. One night, I had a dream about one of the cats at the first shelter, and felt compelled to go back.
On Thursday, March 23rd 2006, I made a second trip to that first shelter, to see if there was someone there for me. As I made my way along the hall toward the adult cat room, a squeaky little voice greeted me from the bottom row. There was Chloe, having an afternoon snack, looking up at me with her big, golden eyes. I read her cage card, and realized that she fit the exact description of the "ideal" cat that I had been searching for all along.
I took her out of the cage and sat down with her on my lap. She just purred and looked totally content. Another cat was out, walking around, and Chloe observed her with calm indifference. I knew my search was over.

Bio: Chloe is such a sweet, personable cat. She hates to be alone, and follows me around meowing at me whenever I'm home. She's pretty sure that everyone in the world is in love with her, and that's not too far from the truth.
She has incredibly good manners. She doesn't jump on counters or tables, sleeps at the foot of my bed and waits for me to pick her up rather than jumping into my lap all the time. She starts to purr as soon as she sees me, and always greets me at the door when I come home. She also enjoys "helping," in true Maine Coon fashion...she likes to be "into" everything that the people are doing. This includes laying on the desk when Mommy is doing her homework or surfing the 'net.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and have her in my life!
