Two years ago today I became an angel. Wowza, was that a sad day at my house. Mawmee says the sadness is always there but it is hidden until she thinks about it. If she does too much thinking, she gets all teary eyed. Like my pal, Henry, said:
Your orange goodness is never too far from our hearts.
I like that a bunch, Henry! It's not like my family doesn't see me every day because there are pictures of me all over the house. I was definitely the H.o.H.! I don't think my siblings have figured out who is the H.o.H. since I left!
Now, on to important bridge secrets. I didn't realize it until Dude Kitty (of Da Tabbies O Trout Towne) told me, but on your second bridge anniversary, the flag on your mailbox gets swapped out. When you get here, your mailbox is painted blue and it has a rainbow flag on it. I saw the mailcat remove the rainbow this morning and replace it with a halo! He also painted my mailbox gold! Be sure to act surprised when this happens to you!
After we go angel dust sprinkling today, we're going to do some fishing, and then have a big campfire tonight with s'mores and ghost stories. The ghost stories up here are pretty pawsome because sometimes real ghosts tell the stories! Ooops, I wasn't supposed to tell you that!
Thanks to all my pals who remembered me on this day. I sure appreciate your friendships!
Knead On ~
It's hard to believe it has been 2 years~ all of Catster cried that day. I hope you have a great bridge day Calvin.
Yeah, my Mom still gets teary if she thinks about me too much (although she does think about me a little bit every day). I can't wait to get my new flag on my 2 year anniversary!
I saw Lucy Nooner's Mom say " Time measured in grief runs differently than regular time." I think that's pretty much an accurate assessment of the feel of time passing to our grieving families. I know I don't hear my family cry much or see the sparkle of tears in their eyes as often, but... every now and then.
We may be physically gone from their daily lives but we are always in their hearts.
You know it Calvin! I've seen cats ooohing and aaahing over your mailbox today! Sure wish we were back with our families, but it's great up here and we can see everything if we want to!
Two years have gone by quickly but the memories of you and all the friends that you have held up your "welcome" signs for are still with us. We miss you very much but somehow you make it comforting because you make the Bridge seem like such a wonderful place. Your mailbox must be full of love and wishes. Have a great time fishing and catch a big one for dinner. We miss you.

We never had the privilege of knowing you upon the earth, but we sure do know who you are!
So glad that we have been able to get to know you through this Catster pawlace! Its great!
Sorry that you had to go to the bridge, Calvin...our loss, their gain!
Now you truly are an angel cat, looking down upon all of your furmily and furends, too.

OMC! Calvin! I am counting on your orange goodness to forgive me for being a terrible friend. I am sorry I was not around for your anniversary. I could offer excuses but there are no excuses for being a lousy pal. I apologize from the bottom of my orange heart. I love you, dude. I am honored to call you friend. Unlike me you have always been there for me, my family...You are the best. Love and hugs, Alfie
