CONCATS, CAM!

I extend my concats to our sister, Camille Rose, on her diary pick today! I'm glad she got it as she's been under a lot of stress because of Landy's picking on her, and she needed something to cheer her up.

Cam's right about me being her best brother. Since I've gotten older and also have arthritis, I can sympathize with her as to not wanting to be bothered by younger cats such as Landy. I don't like it when he tries it on me and of course, I give him firm hisses to let him know that I don't appreciate rough play all the time.

I've done my best to stay in Cam's room with her a lot of times and even breeped at her. We've sat side-by-side before when Mommy's in there with us.

I've given up on chasing her and boxing her like Landy currently does. Yep, I've mellowed in my older years. Poor Jasmine Bibette used to get that bully treatment from me when I was Landy's age. She'd stay upstairs all the time in the bedrooms and when she ventured downstairs, I'd chase her back upstairs. I was a terror!

Hopefully, when Landy gets older, he'll mellow out like I have.

Anyway, Mommy has a visit with the ortho at 3:00 p.m. today. Pray for good results. She's ready to go back to work and earn more money.

CATS WHO LICK A LOT

I'm one of those compulsive groomers and because of this, I launch many hairballs. Tonight was one of those nights. I was asleep on Mommy's bed when the urge to yuck came upon me. I'm always considerate and never do this on her bed; I jumped to the floor and deposited it right there. Mommy thanked me for putting it on the floor.

Anyway, I feel much better now.

SLEEPY SUNDAY

Today is a lazy day for us kitties. Bail, Landy and I are on Mommy's bed right now. Landy is out like a light as he had the cat crazies as soon as the sun rose. Bail's drifting off to some song by Chloe Agnew from one of the "Celtic Women" CD's. Of course this was dictated to Mommy a few minutes before I nodded off.

Mommy told me that Ms. Peggy wrote little day-by-day notes on her progress with us kitties and how Landy and I followed her around the house like dogs. She mentioned that Merl only came out when some organic nip was offered to him. MOL! He can never say no to nip even when a stranger offers it. She also caught Landy stealing Cam's moist food; she bought a tube of Nutri-Cal for Cam as she thought she was listless. Lastly, she brought over her radio and had it playing classical music 24/7. Yep, us kitties were introduced to another type of music and we loved it.

Anyway, I'll be on my way. Have a pawsome Sunday, my friends.

CONCATS, LANDY AND UPDATE ON MOMMY'S KNEE

First, of all, I concat the head nurse, Landy, on his DDP today! I'm also one of the head nurses in the household who is glued to Mommy's side. Next, is Merl, Bail and then, believe it or not, Cam. As Landy mentioned, the old gal has been coming into Mommy's bedroom every evening before bedtime. This is a rarity! She's trying her best to deal with Landy's bullying her by chasing and boxing her in the butt.

Lastly, Mommy was taken by her neighbor to the ortho surgeon today for followup treatment on her knee. They took x-rays which turned out great! He told her to bend the knee and she bent it a lot. He was pleased and wants to see her in three weeks for another followup visit. Also, Mommy asked him if her knee felt hot to him and he said it did and it was normal as it was still inflamed (numb in that area too). He told her to use two pillows to elevate her knee.

Anyway, that's it. We're keeping to one diary a day for now. Goodnight, everycat.

TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!

Mommy comes home today! Us kitties are so excited that we can't sit still! When she gets home, we will shower her with welcome home purrs, sandpaper kisses and wet nose whisker tickles. We will be glued to her.

Words alone cannot convey how much we missed our
Mommy and hope that she's never gone this long again!

Auntie Mary and Ms. Peggy have been good to us and still we long for Mommy's return!

One of us will post later today with more news on Mommy's return.

Update

Here's an update sent via Mommy's iPhone: She's doing okay & the swelling has gone down on her knee. Intense P.T. starts tomorrow.

Us kitties are doing fine. The pet sitter, Peggy, managed to lure Merl out from the bed with nip. Auntie Mary stopped by today & Merl let her pet him. This is great progress!

Lastly, I thank the DIary Gal for the DDP honor today & cool comments from my friends!

HEY EVERYCAT!

Just a short late note to let everycat know we're doing fine.

Mommy's having her total knee replacement surgery tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. so keep her in your prayers and purrs. We're purring loudly too!

Mark and Peggy will be sitting for us while Mommy is away. Landy, Cam and I met them both; they're very nice. Bail and Merl hid under the bed. They're the shy guys.

Anyway, we'll be back in the regular swing of things after Mommy's back.

TODAY'S MY BIG DAY!

I'm 15 years old today! I'm still going strong heart wise; but am still dealing with the itchies that don't want to go away completely. I also have arthritis in my back legs which makes it harder to walk up and down the stairs. Still, I work my legs by giving them a lot of exercise so they don't stiffen up on me totally. Walking up and down stairs is good exercise, hint, hint, hint Mommy!

I thank HQ for the yummy birthday cake, treats and birthday email.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAIL FROM ALL OF US!

I'm the spokescat tonight and extend happy birthday wishes to Bail on behalf of all of us!

I get my turn at having a birthday on Friday, April 6th. I'll be 15 years old!

Also, Mommy found out some good news from my cardiologist's tech today. I don't have to get an echocardiogram until November! That's good 'cause I'm not in the mood for getting my chest shaved right now. Also, it's good for Mommy as she's all lined up with doctor visits and surgery this month.

TRANSFER OF ZEALIES AND OTHER SUBJECTS

My furmily and I decided to transfer a bunch of Zealies to another pawsome Catster family, namely ANGEL BUDDIE, CASH, GIBBS, et al. We're rolling in Zealies and haven't had much time to send any out in some time. Some of these Zealies were left over from a photo contest Catster used to have wherein we did a lot of voting.

Bail, did send his girl a BIG yummy cake today. Yep, we're feeling generous today!

As to me; those itchies happen mostly early morning and times when Mommy wants to sleep. I ROCK the bed with my itching and scratching and licking. She thinks I've been stealing Cam's food, because she's seen me almost do it twice.

Also, somecat did a yucky load of poop in the hallway! Now, we got another phantom pooper in the house. Hmmmmmmm, who could it be??? Mommy thinks it's me again as Cam's food probably upset my system after eating the RX food for a long time. Innocent until proven guilty on this, I say!

Anyway, Bail is going to be an old mancat tomorrow (he-he). He'll be 7 years old. On April 6th, I turn 15 years old. Now, that's an older mancat!

Lastly, Mommy's trying to schedule my heart exam for early April instead of May because of her knee surgery and one month recovery. She called the hospital yesterday, and the receptionist said they don't take drop offs. Mommy told her she has to drop me off as she's run out of time off from work because of blood tests for her upcoming surgery. The tech, will be calling Mommy tomorrow with an answer. Hopefully, she'll agree to this. They let Mommy drop me off last year as I was having a hard time walking two days after the sedation they gave me. Hopefully, they'll make an exception this time too. Cross your paws that they say "yes".
