Arrival Story:
Pee Wee was born to a feral mother cat who ignored Pee Wee and never properly washed his eyes. I was trying to keep the eye washed and him fed but then my father died and I had to leave the state. I had an uncle who came over and took care of Pee Wee and the other indoor cats, but despite our best efforts the eye ruptured and Pee Wee lost one eye. The vet didn't know for sure if he would survive until he was four months old and finally weighed 5 pounds. After all that he had been through with us, he was part of the family and we could never even think about giving him up.

Bio:
Pee Wee has poor depth perception or is very far-sighted and runs into things if a new piece of furniture is brought it or if things are re-arranged. He knows his way around the house and has figured out from trial and error how to jump onto the beds and jump up into the kitty condo. He also likes to stare at a spot on the wall until I go over to see what he's looking at, then walk away like he has no idea why I came over.

Just let me live in the garage

I don't understand why Mom won't let me live out in the garage. It's not like the car has EVER been in the garage. I can stretch almost high enough to hit the doorknob with my paws, but I can't figure out how to turn it and open the door. Mom hung a bell off the doorknob and I can spend 20 minutes just smacking that bell and making it ring, but still Mom won't let me out there.

When she goes out to get more food for us, or to do something she calls 'laundry', I can usually sneak out with her. There's an old comforter that she washed and folded up, and it's on top of some boxes. I love to get up there and snuggled up, it's so nice and comfy!

Mom only let's me stay out there when she's out there doing stuff, and she doesn't let me get into ANYTHING so I just lie on the comforter and watch her. Sometimes it's really cold and I go to the door so she can let me in before she's ready to go in, but usually I wait for her to pick me up and carry me into the house. I have her trained so well!

On second thought, maybe I don't want to live in the garage. I'd be awfully lonely without Mom and the rest of my family. I guess it's really just a nice place to visit.

Meow-y bad weather!

Wow, it's been a terrible day. Rain and wind, although mostly the wind slamming into the house and rattling the windows. Mom seems nervous and carries a flashlight everywhere. There was just a loud noise on the television and then a voice talking, something about an Emergency Alert and severe thunderstorms coming. Mom said that we may all have to go into the middle bathroom where there are no windows for a while until it passes. I'm kind of scared, but as long as Mom is with us I know we'll be okay.

It's raining again

I don't mind the rain, but Mom doesn't seem to like it much. Mom had a migraine earlier so I curled up with her in her bed. Mister Whiskers curled up with us too, which surprised me. I like him, but he seems scared of everything except Mom. Mom's feeling better now though, and she gave us fresh chicken for dinner...YUMMY!

Mister Whiskers and Tigger seem to have joined me in keeping Mom safe from Leftie and Smokie. I know that Leftie and Smokie love Mom just as much as I do, but I don't want them to hurt her. They haven't tried any acrobatics since Leftie landed on her, so maybe they've given up on the Olympics (or will at least restrict it to activities that don't involve her headboard).
