Arrival Story:
Mike was one of several cats living with an older gentleman. When the man passed away, his relatives came and just put the cats out (to fend for themselves). A wonderful lady who does cat rescue work, picked him up after a neighbor caught Mike. She had already rescued Mike's (now)"brother" Paddy. Although the two did not know each other before meeting, they bonded. It is astounding, because they are both orange and white and have almost all of the same markings.

Bio:
Mike seems very reserved at first, but it is simply because he is so smart. He needs to totally "know" the situation prior to committing himself to it. When I first went to meet him (I saw his photo online), he practically jumped out of the cage/carrier and hugged me. I was looking for a Maine Coon, as my Miss Kitty Carlisle(female, torbie MC) had recently passed. I wanted a boy, as a girl at that point was too painful an idea. His sweet rescuer said that he'd bonded with another cat, and they came as a pair. Since I was thinking of adopting 2 cats, this was great for me. Once "the boys" got to my apartment, they both went right under my bed. Paddy came out first pretty quickly; Mike took a bit longer, but is a real lover. Since my Mom(who was visiting at the time) first let them out on my fenced-in terrace, it is a struggle getting them to come inside; they don't care if I freeze with the door open in the winter, but I must leave it open for them to come and go. They think they're dogs in that they love to roll around on the terrace, especially when it snows. And the rest is history...
