I rule!

What? I've said I Rule before? Well ... I can't say it too many times!!

I am it! I am the man! I rule!

Hey. That cat person at Berkeley Humane finally figured it out .... I like things slow. I love pats, just as long as they're really slow. I won't bite so much if that cat girl just takes her time (lots of time).

I have a new toy. Jane gave it to me. It rules!! I love to pounce on it. I go crazy for it! It rules. I rule. We rule together (me and the toy, that is ... and maybe Jane .... and maybe the cat girl ... but not J. D. ... J.D. can only rule when I'm gone)!

Laps (and stuff)

I love laps. Sitting on someones lap is the best place to be. I love to cuddle and stay warm by sitting on laps. Some nice people came in yesterday and the young girl let me curl up on her lap. I tried to take a nap, but the girl and her father ended up leaving before I could fall asleep.

I think people are timid about taking me home because there's no saying how long I'll live. But, really, isn't that true with any life? You can never say when your time will come. I've heard stories of healthy kittens dying while getting spayed or neutered. Other cats live to be decades old.

It's true I have FIV, so my time may be a little more limited than a healthier cat. But do we know that for sure? Do we really know that a healthy cat will live longer than me?

Besides, I'd much rather die in a home than in this shelter! And I like knowing my time is limited. It's what helps me live my life to the fullest! It's part of what makes me who I am.

But this is all to philosophical for me! I just wanna a few good laps to sleep on.
