It was another peaceful day today. The sun came out just long enough to take Nemo to the bridge. He loved the sun.
Last night Nemo let us know he was ready by vomiting violently and having diarrhea. He repeated it again this morning. We promised to protect him from pain and misery. I thanked him for giving us such a clear sign and we helped him cross at 5pm today, the 4th of July.
He went peacefully with a smile on his face. We put him in his favourite basket and took him to the memorial centre. He rested comfortably in the basket as if he was just taking an afternoon nap.
On the way home I realized not only will he have no FIV to worry about, he also will have his fangs back next time around! Unless, of course, he becomes a human then it will be quite bad to have fangs…at least he will be immortal.
I can not imagine I will never call out the name Nemo anymore.

I do not know what I'll do without you, Nemo. You have been my Catster friend for over 4 years and things will never be the same again.
I look forward to the day we meet again, you never know, we could end up being best friends in your next life...
Until then, so long Nemoid.

Oh Nemo, I will miss you so much. I'm happy that you are well again and have your fangs back. I am sending purrs and purrs to Susie, Mike, and TinTin. I know there will be a big void in their lives without you physically there with them. I know your spirit will always be with them in some way, just like Spencer and Maxwell are. We love you, and send love to your family.
Oh Nemo, I'm glad you're whole again but I will miss you so much. Mom and I are sad and happy at the same time. I'm glad your passing was peaceful and you have the most amazing parents ever. *nosekisses Susie, Mike and TinTin* The pain in your hearts will lessen and be replaced with only fond memories and happy thoughts. Fly high Nemo, whole and healthy.
Much love, hugs and purrs,
Sparkle and Phyl
Sweet Nemo and Family,
We were so purring for a miracle... we're all so sad here. You dear Nemo were such an inspiration to us - and to me in particular when I was so ill a few years ago.
We are so happy you were blessed with such a loving family and devoted mommy... and we know you blessed them in turn. You are at peace now and I'm sure looking down upon your family with nothing but love and thankfulness.
Fly free and look forward to the future joyful reunion with your brother and family.
You are loved Nemo, now and forever.
Special Headbonks and Purrrrs,
Oh Nemo, rest in peace my wonderful friend. You will be missed so much. Love, hugs and purrs to you and your staff.
Zipper is waiting for you at the Bridge and will be ready to cause some trouble with you!
Baby Girl and momma Claire
Oh Nemo, our great friend.
You will be missed deeply, your forever in our hearts.
We love you!
Our purrs and prayers are with you Nemo and your staff.
Riley, Skippy and mommy Karen
Sweet and beautiful Nemo, we welcome you with open paws to the peaceful bridge. My mommy sends your family big hugs and purrs for comfort. Tell them that I visit my mom all the time and she knows I'm there. All they have to do is look with an open heart and listen with an open mind and they'll know you're there too! There's only a thin veil between our worlds and some days that veil comes down and we come through. Play and be free Nemo! You deserve it!
Sweet Nemo, I will be your friend at the Bridge....sending hugs to your family from mine....
Reading about Nemo's last days, it's clear how much love you shared. He was extraordinary, and his life with you was an extraordinary gift for both you and him. I lost my Teddy on September 30th and felt the same way. I think Nemo and Teddy might be playing in the sun on the other side of Rainbow Bridge as they wait for us to one day join them again.
