Black and White

Mealtime, playtime, and naptime. He is pretty much happy all the time.

Not much - nothing seems to bother this guy.

Favorite Toy:
Anything he can bat across the floor... marbles, furry mice, wadded up pieces of paper....

Favorite Nap Spot:
He owns the top of the entertainment center. When it's colder weather he gets under the covers with me. He also likes windows, and curling up with the other kitties.

Favorite Food:

he's pretty good at tug-o-war, and fetch. he can flatten himself out enough to slither under furniture and into tight spaces you wouldn't expect him to go. he occasionally climbs doors and balances at the top.

Arrival Story:
Fell in love with him at Pets Inc. I was just visiting to give some much needed attention to all the kitties at the shelter who are waiting for homes, and I wasn't looking to adopt. Riley lived in the cat room with about 30-40 other cats, and his furry little personality was too good to resist. He was known at Pets Inc. as "Petey" and "Rainbow Fish's Little Sparkle" - being among a litter of kittens who had been at Pets Inc. since they were about 6 weeks old. His mother was a solid black kitty and was still somewhere in the cat room, but I couldn't find her. He fought off coccidia, giardia, and an upper respiratory infection since I got him. None of those things ever slowed him down, he's got a great attitude.

Riley likes to sleep under the covers. He will come and paw at the blankets when he wants in - it's very cute. He once bit me, but only because he mistook my finger as part of the toy I was trying to get out of his mouth. I wanted to continue our game of fetch, so I decided to retrieve the mouse so that I could throw it. He just bit down harder, thinking it was all part of the game. After a three dr. visits, a tetanus shot and a whole bunch of antibiotics, I decided that it isn't a good idea to voluntarilty put ones finger into a cat's mouth.
