Hi All:
Well, Easter has come and gone, and Checkers and I made it thru without Mom trying to put Bunny Ears on us, or dress us in Easter Outfits for pictures~that's a good thing!
What do you guys think about this food recall? I guess that's a silly question, I'm sure you're all as horrified by it as Checkers, Mom and I are. How did this happen?
When Mom had our Bridge Sister, Heidi, she loved Fancy Feast and Mom's efforts to move her to a higher quality food, weren't very successful.
When Mom adopted Checkers and I, she wanted to start us off on a better quality food. I had been eating Eukanuba pouches for quite a long time, ~YIKES! I really liked them, but, YIKES!
I'm happy to say, I seem fine, but, I feel like I dodged a bullet, or, at least I hope I did. Could there be long term, cumulative effects? Who knows? Mom will keep an eye on me, and if anything seems off, she won't forget that I ate this food for a long time. Checkers doesn't like wet food, just dry, but, she did like some tastes of the gravy, from my pouches, so, Mom could have had 2 sick kitty's. Once again, YIKES!
We're both on California Naturals, now, I get wet and dry and Checkers just eats the dry. It's pretty good, and Mom is keeping an eye out for other high quality foods that she feels she can trust.
OK, enough of that, we've all heard about it, endlessly.
I turned 3 on March 31st. It was a very nice day, Mom was home, and I got spoiled :-) I also got some TIKI Tuna and a new toy. Checkers didn't buy me anything, but, in her defense, when you're indoor only, it puts a crimp in your shopping!
It's been 16 months, now, since I was adopted by Mom, and found my forever home. I have Mom, my younger Sister, Checkers for company, and lots and lots of love. I'm a lucky girl.
Mom says she's the lucky one, and I have to agree, we are pretty special Cats (and just so she doesn't forget, we keep reminding her)!
I better go, but, I'd like to say, I'm also very lucky to have the Catster community. I keep all of you in my daily prayers for your health and happiness, and our family always remembers those special kitty's who need extra purrs and prayers, and we always will.
